Camping for the night

It did not take us long to cross the Talondeep Path tunnel. Soon, we were outside and in Ashenvale. The landscape was so different, so vibrant, full of nature and greenery. It was a complete opposite to the rough Stonetalon Mountains! I was in awe as I looked around the high trees and all the little birds flying around. Even Korant was captivated.

The dwarves, however, were not that impressed.

They urged us to make camp here and so we did. The original plan was to reach Astranaar by nightfall, but our unfortunate... misunderstanding with the Venture Co. had slowed us down. That damn Grok...

An hour or so later, our tents were set in a circle. The campfire was soon lit and we roasted some of the meat that we carried with us.

Despite agreeing to go to sleep early, we ended up staying late, chatting, drinking and laughing. It turned out these dwarves weren’t all that bad! All they needed was a couple of pints of ale to cheer up.

Korant excused himself as he was not the drinking type so I stayed up by myself.
