Camilla: Charming Customers

Camilla follows the former elf through town, stopping at the tavern. "Eve, slow down. I'm not as mobile as before."

The goblin blushes, embarrassed. "Sorry. I just want this dealt with quickly, and Terra said you and Lia were the only ones beside Dusk that could resist the charm. He's got a lot on his mind right now, so I thought it better if we handle this without him, at least as much as we can."

The captain sighs. "Yeah, I guess you're probably right."

-If it is a succubus, she'd be right. The victim's willpower is a factor when determining the effectiveness of a charm, but it is always better to have outright immunity.-

"And you think I qualify for that?"

-With me here, you should have nothing to worry about. Even if you succumb, I should be able to mitigate its effects with a charm of my own. I may be weaker than I used to be, but with my presence in your mind, the power of my charm will be greater than most concubi should be able to produce.-

"Great, so I'm going to end up charmed either way." Camilla peers through one of the windows, spying a red-skinned devil perched on the bar, telling some story or other.

-Definitely a succubus. Note the faint aroma of roses in the air, masked by the cooking food. She's releasing a sort of pheromone that causes a pacifying effect, even going so far as to use it to increase the admiration of those around her.-

"I think I understood half those words." Camilla praises herself. "Eve - and I guess Terra - good work. We'll take things from here." The captain steps into the establishment, quickly making her way to the devil.

"Oh, another villager wants to listen in! I'll go ahead and start over for-"

"Knack, you are under arrest for illegal use of magic and attempting to infiltrate the kingdom. You can come quietly or I can bring you in by ****." Camilla's mind already began feeling a bit foggier than usual, but she shook it off.

The devil cocks her head, curiosity on her face. "Well, I think you'll change your mind when you start listening to my story.~"

Camilla stepped back, holding her head. -Arrest her, now.~- Immediately, the fog cleared, before another wave swept in, clouding the brunette's thoughts. She immediately grabbed the succubus' wrist and pulled her off the bar, before twisting her around and pinning her against it.

"What'd she do wrong?" "Hey, why're you arresting her?" "She was just getting to the good part!" Voices sprang up around the lunch crowd.

Camilla reached into the giant bag that had sat on the floor next to Knack. Eve said there were cuffs in here somewhere... She pulls out a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs and briefly sighs. They'll do. "Everyone stay back! You've been under the effect of a succubus' charm, and should return to normal a few minutes after we leave. Stay in your seats, enjoy your meals, and things will be back to how they were before Knack arrived."

Despite the initial attempt at a charm, Knack doesn't seem to put up any resistance as Camilla restrains and escorts her to the barracks.
