Almost immediately, Calvin reached for a card, and his token squirmed forward six spaces.
“Dreams of the Deep: Visit the land of the deep when you sleep. Move six. Draw again,” Calvin read.
“I wonder how long it’ll take before I find out what that means,” Calvin said with a little chuckle.
“Generally, you find out the general effects of a card before the next round begins unless it is a blue one,” Ralph answered, thinking Calvin was asking.
“It was a joke,” Calvin said in embarrassment.
“Calvin was just joking about his moderate insomnia and how he always forgets his dreams when he does get to sleep,” Jamie said, explaining what Calvin was joking about.
“So that's why I kept running into you so late at night in game lobbies,” Ralph said, now understanding the joke.
“Anyways, let's get to the next card,” Calvin said as he quickly grabbed a card from the Gear Deck.
“Seductive Sleepwear: Supremely comfortable clothing that makes it easier for the wearer to fall asleep and have deeper sleep. While sleeping, those who come across the wearer will find it hard to resist pleasuring the wearer; all acts will be one that the wearer enjoys. The owner of this card can freely dismiss or summon this item from existing. It must be used the night of drawing it. Move three,” Calvin read with his token, slithering another three spots forward.
As Calvin finished reading the card, a set of pale blue and pink fuzzy pajamas appeared in his lap.
“Guess you’ll find out tonight,” Sam said with a laugh in retaliation to Calvin's earlier laughter about his cards.
“I end my turn,” Calvin mutters, clearly flustered.
