Jamie’s II Turn (The World is Larger Than You Know, Time Loop(?))

“I only have to draw one card, right?” Jamie asked Ralph as he reached out to the deck.

“Yes, unless you get told to draw more by the card you draw. Oh, a word from the wise: don’t say how many cards you plan to draw out loud near the board next time. It loves to punish you for doing that. I thought I told you that earlier,” Ralph said, sighing.

“You didn’t,” Jamie said, grabbing his first card.

When Jamie grabbed the card, it turned pitch black, and his Dragoniod Token ran like it was escaping something forward ten spaces before stopping. As it passed, the other tokens went on guard, looking around as if expecting something to pop out of thin air surrounding them, and when the Dragoniod token stopped, it went on guard as well.

“What the fuck did he (I) just pull,” the group asked Ralph, shaken by the massive reaction of the tokens.

“I don’t know. To be more precise, I know the color, but I have no clue what it will do since the black cards my group drew all had vastly different effects. One sent us back to the beginning, another had us discard all of our cards and draw an equal number of new ones, yet another seemed to do nothing. The last transported me to the end of the game, making me the winner,” Ralph said, trying to keep himself from sounding too panicked, as he was scared by the game’s actions because his own token was also on edge.

“Guess the only way to know is to have Jamie read it,” Bernard said, looking solemn.

“The World is Larger Than You Know: ……, Ugh, something’s wrong; I can’t read the next sentence,” Jamie said, with confusion clear on his face.

“Well, just read what you can from the card. Otherwise, the game might think you’re trying to delay the game,” Ralph said.

“Ok. The World is Larger Than You Know: The world is now connected to other worlds with other entities. Move ten. Draw three cards from the main deck,” Jamie read out the words he could make out, struggling with the dark-gray-on-black wording of the card’s title and instructions.

“Give it here while you draw the other cards you need so we can see if we can read it,” Kevin said as he reached out to grab the card.

While Jamie reached for and grabbed another card that turned green, the others failed to read anything more from the card after passing it around.

Draw three from the main deck.) but none of the players could read it, making the game more exciting by introducing other beings, some wielding enough power to affect the game directly or indirectly.

“Time Loop: To keep the game from affecting your lives too much, the next (spin the wheel to decide the time period) will repeat endlessly until the game is completed. Those involved with the game will remember the repeated (time period) and continue to change and grow in them regardless of their power. Those with enough power can resist the loops, and those with extraordinary power will be unaffected. Those successful in resisting will range from remembering the events of the loops to being immune to the loop like players, depending on their strength. Move six,” Ralph read as a wheel appeared, and his token moved forward six spaces.

Jamie spun the wheel, covered with different time frames like weeks, months, years, decades, and many others, while he was dazed by what the card said would happen.
