Call the voice

John drank the last of his coffee and went back to his apartment. He wanted to find out a few things, but maybe it would be better to do this in a more private setting. On his short way home, nothing out of the ordinary happened. Well, that was not quite true. Some of the women passing him by gave him a smile. Even a few wide grins and he could swear that one of them had made a very explicit gesture as he walked by. This had never happened to him back in the day. Not even a little bit. Not even close. Could it be.... He had to find out.

Arriving at home, John got out his phone and made the call. It rang once, twice... "Hello? John?" There she was "Ah yes hi. I, well erm. it's just that you told me I could contact you if I had any questions right?"

"That is right" she said sounding a bit amused "Ok well, so this may seem like a bit of a strange question but...am I the only man on this island? " he quickly added "Well definitely not the only one, I did see another guy earlier but apart from that... only women. probably like 30 or 40 of them. And they.. I mean some of them looked at me like..." John trailed off into silence. The answer came right away. "Don't worry John. You are not going crazy. This is just how things are around here. " she began to explain "You see, on this island women outnumber men by a factor of, well I do not know the exact numbers but I would guess it is about 1 guy for every 50 or 100 women. Something like that. So what you have observed this morning checks out pretty well. You are by no means the only man around here, you are not as rare as a unicorn, but still its not like any single woman can expect the same amount of male attention that you are used to in your old world." Johns jaw dropped for he had no idea how manieth time today. 50 to 1? 100 to 1?! The voice continued "You see a society like this just simply would collapse with equal numbers of men and women. Nothing would ever get done. Everyone would just be fucking nonstop haha. " after laughing she added "Oh and of course, this has some other implications as well."

"Implications? what do you mean?" John asked curiously "Well... " she began "I don't want to spoil every surprise for you, and anyway if you ever want to know anything and don't have the time or don't want to call me, there is also a little wiki we installed on your phone to look things like this up. But let me tell you one thing as a start. I am sure you know these ridiculous 'hot singles in your area' kind of ads, right?" John rolled his eyes "yeah sure, annoying..." she went on "Well not here. On this island, with this ratio of men and women, these things are real as can be. If you check your phone, we have installed an app there called MeetAndFuck. You can think of it a bit like Tinder, just that in this world, all the guys are swarmed with offers of all sorts. You may want to check that out later. just open up the app on your phone, finish your profile and you will see."

Johns mouth stood open. Even though he just fucked some total strangers out in the open mere hours ago, the thought of hundreds of women swarming him for attention was just so unreal. "I.. I will" he simply said after a long pause. He heard a laugh on the other end of the line "Well I am sure you will have a lot of things to check out. So I will leave you to it for now. Call me again anytime. See you!" and she hung up.

John took his phone down from his ear. It was time to check this out.
