Call Emma

Connor aimed for the Jones home while he called the number that Emma had left him. She picked up on the second ring.

"Hi?", she answered, hesitantly.

"Hello Emma." said Connor, trying to sound confident. "Are you alone?"

"Right now, yes."

Let's ask her if she wants to do anything more, thought Connor, It's not like we've done anything that counts as cheating, and it would be useful to test things before I try them with Joan. He cleared his throat.

"That was fun, Emma. I'd like to meet you again." Connor tried to avoid asking questions, and to put some authority into his voice.

"Oh. Yes." came a dazed reply. Connor took a moment to consider his options as he drove. Making it too much like a date would be weird.

"When do you get off work?" asked Connor, then followed it up by asking for Emma's address. She reveals that she lives in a flat near the university with roommates, which might be a problem. However, Emma then revealed that she was working at a firm of realtors and could arrange an empty house or apartment. Useful, but that's pretty forward of her, thought Connor, and I don't actually want to cheat on Joan.

"So when will I see you?" asked Emma, "I'm still worked up from earlier. I think I might go take care of myself in the bathroom."
