Call Carrie

You pull out your cell phone and dial Carrie’s number.

“Hello.”

“Hi, Carrie, I think I’m in trouble. I took this new job with The Company. I think there’s something evil going on here.”

“Nicholas Preston Grace, if this some kind of prank or attempt to get me back...”

“I swear, Carrie, there is something disturbingly wrong here. I’m going to try to get out. Can you just be there out front to pick me up?”

“I’ll be there.”

“Whatever you do, don’t go inside.”

“Sure.”

“Thanks.”

She hangs up.

You make your way back to the office. Hannah has busied herself at her desk. She gives you a wink and a hungry smile.

You walk into Charles office.

He smiles at you. “See, you just needed to get back on horse. The key is just don’t stop with one.”

You smile back, not really feeling it. “Yah. It was nice to relieve some tension. I going to grab some coffee.”

You turn to leave.

“Wait, can you get me one as well?”

“Ah, sure. What would you like?”

“A half caf, mocha latte. Hannah? Would you like anything?”

Hannah looks back. “Can you?”

You nod. “Kenyan, black, two sugars.”

You get a paper and pen and write down the orders.

As you turn to leave your phone vibrates. After you step outside you discretely look.

Came inside

Shit Carrie came in looking for you.

You text back, where are you?

You wait. No text comes.

You can escape and hope Carrie has done the same, or go look for her.
