Building the pillow fort!

Alright! You set the case down on the floor, and empty your pockets of spoons to lay them all next to each other. Standing back up, you look over what you've got to work with -- six chairs, a full bed's worth of sheets and blankets and pillows, and an entire kingom-sized arsenal. It's time to get to work.

First things first, the supports! No fort can stand without a sturdy set of supports, and luckily for you, you've got just the things! You set up the six chairs into two rows, three on each side, leading up towards the foot of your bed with the sitting parts facing inwards. For protection from the elements, and from aerial assaults, you get a few large blankets and lay them over the backs of the chairs, so that you end up with a super cool tunnel that leads up to the bed. Secret, royal tunnels!

You set a bunch of the spoons on the sitting parts of the chairs within the tunnel, because this is the barracks too. You also lay a bunch of pillows around the outside of the chairs, so that nothing can come in from between the chair legs. One of the pillows keeps falling over when you try to set it up, because it's too thin and keeps slipping between the legs, so you just let that chair be only partially sealed with the pillow lying flat. You also set a lamp on the sitting part of one of the chairs at the back of the tunnel, and switch it on to fill the dark and hidden space with slightly-yellow light.

Next, the royal chambers! You crouch-walk through the short secret tunnel-barracks that you just made, and slide through the short opening between the bed's mattress and the tunnel's blanket roof. This has gotta be your main defensive spot, for sure. You set up a bunch of pillows along the bed's edge, with little spaces between them, to act as sort of battlements for your illustrious castle fort. Then, rolling up the heavy duvet to be pushed to the back of the bed, you take one of your spare sheets and turn it into a tarp covering the mattress by hooking one corner into your curtain railing and tying the other to your cupboard handle. It sort of slopes, and part of the mattress isn't covered by it, but it still works just great. Speaking of the curtains, you go pull them shut and turn off your room's main light, to get in the mood a bit better. The room's pretty much completely dark now, except for the light inside of the tunnel which shines out from the cracks in the tunnel's roof and chair walls. Also, through some of the blankets, because they aren't all that thick. A very dim light just barely finds its way to the bed's main mattress, through the small slit that you have to push through to get there from the tunnel.

Phew! You wipe your forehead exaggeratedly, happily taking in the fruit of your labours. Okay, looking good! Now it's just time to get into character. You clear your throat.

"This is my stronghold, Castle Fort!" You declare proudly after a brief hesitation to think of backstory. "I'm- our kingdom has- I'm Princess Debbie, and our kingdom has come under attack from....."

You pause, and quickly look around the room for inspiration.

"....from pillows! No, wait." You readjust. "I'm Princess Debbie, and Castle Fort is under attack by evil people! But they won't get in with me defending it, nope!"

So cool!!

You giggle excitedly to yourself, and run over to kneel in front of your wargear case and click it open.{if Armour == 2} You take out your metal bracers and set them on the floor beside you, then do the same with your{else} Your armour's a bit too heavy to properly play in, so you'll leave it in here and just take out your{endif}{if Weapon == 1} batons.{elseif@ Weapon == 2} sledgeaxe. It's heavy{if Weapon == 2}{else} too{endif}, but you're not just gonna not use your real-life Warrior weapon in the castle siege roleplay.{elseif Weapon == 3} pepperbox pistol (not loaded with your impact rounds, in case they hit a window or something). You decide to leave the shield this time, since it'll be harder to run around with it getting in the way.{endif}

You stand back up, quickly strip yourself out of your clothes, and then wrap yourself up in your last remaining white bedsheet in a sort of dress/toga style. You have to hold it in place on your hip at first, but then you figure out a way to tuck it in so it stays on its own.{if Armour == 2} You also clip on your steel bracers, which you were hoping to put over the sheet, but you couldn't get it to extend over your arms at all while still being on the rest of you. Still, it's cool!{endif}

You've also changed your mind, as you happily crawl into your lit-up tunnel on your hands and knees. You're actually Queen Debbie now. Queen sounds way cooler. The voluptuous Queen Debbie, bountiful bosom basically spilling out of her white toga! Yeah, that's good stuff. You should write some of this down.

As you relax in the secret royal tunnels, imaginary sirens are suddenly sounded. You sit up in alarm. Amidst their impossibly loud blaring, you hear the voice of your make-belief Watch Captain calling out:

"SIEGE!!"
