Buffy Tries to Move On

*In this new reality, lots of things that happened with Xander and Cordelia now happen with Buffy and Cordelia

Episode: Innocence

Scene: Willow and Buffy talking in the hall

“You don’t think Angel would go after the judge himself?” Willow asked, concerned.

“No I…I just wish he’d contact me, I need to talk to him,” Buffy said, she turned to go up the stairs, but a hand grabbed her shoulder.

“Hey, can I have a moment,” Cordelia said, surprising them.

“Um, we have to get to class,” Willow said.

“Go ahead, this is for Buffy,” Cordelia told her.

“It’s okay, I’ll be right behind,” Buffy said as Willow went up the stairs confused.

Cordelia stared into Buffy’s eyes, “You slept with him.”

“How did you…”

“And it was disappointing. I can tell,” Cordelia said as she rubbed her shoulders. “Buffy, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, it’s just…” Buffy said with a sigh, unsure of who she was trying to convince.

“Come to the library after class,” Cordelia told her. “We have to research after all.”

Scene: Willow discovering Cordelia and “Xander” kissing

Willow felt herself freeze as she reached the top of the stairs. Buffy and Cordelia, making out

“Willow,” they both said as she turned and bolted.

She barely made it out of the library before Buffy caught her, “Hey, listen, it’s…”

“Cordelia!” Willow shouted at her. “I knew it. Something wasn’t right. It’s not…”

At that moment Cordelia managed to catch up to them.

“And you,” Willow continued. “I tried to…you and me…but, no, I’m still just a nerd to you. I hate you!”

Neither of them was able to say anything as Willow ran away.

Episode: Phases

Scene: Cordelia and “Xander” making out in the car

“What does she see in him,” Buffy said as she broke away from the kiss.

“Excuse me! We didn’t come here to talk about Willow,” Cordelia said angrily. “We came here to do things I can never tell my father about because he still thinks I’m a straight girl.”

“I just don’t trust Oz with her. He’s a senior. He’s attractive, but he shouldn’t be to her. She’s…”

“She’s repressing and in denial,” Cordelia said frustrated. “It’s very obvious. Oz isn’t going to try anything with her, she’ll go out with him for a couple of weeks, and then…”

“Then what?”

“I don’t know. Go back to Xander. Find another girl, we’ll deal with that when it comes to it. Look around. We’re in my Daddy’s car. It’s just the two of us. There’s a beautiful, big full moon out tonight. It doesn’t get more romantic than this. So, shut up!”

Buffy obligingly shut up as Cordelia kissed her again, until her Slayer senses picked up the scent of something approaching.

Which, being the Slayer, she exited the car, beat up the werewolf, tied him up, learned it was Oz, and everything else in the episode didn’t need to happen.

Episode: Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered

Scene: "Xander" blackmailing Amy

“I’m about to **** you, so I thought I’d bring it up.”

Amy folded her arms, “What do you want?”

“For once, I want the Hellmouth to be working for us,” Amy heard. It wasn’t Xander talking however, it was Buffy. “You and me Amy, we’re going to cast a spell.”

“I don’t get it. If you don’t want to be with her forever, then what’s the point?” Amy asked.

“Because she’s a cunt. I want her to want me, so I can break up with her,” Buffy explained. “She needs to know the same hell she put me, and everyone else, through.”

“I don’t know Buffy,” Amy said as she backed away. “Love spells the intent has to be pure.”

“Amy, I deal with magic on a daily basis,” Buffy said as she approached her. “I’m tired of being fucked around by it. You’re no fan of Cordelia, it’s time for us to pay her back.

Amy smiled, “Okay, here’s what I’ll need.”
