Broken in

For the next few minutes, the centaur did everything she could to try and get you off her, including bucking furiously up and down and trying to reach behind her to pry your fingers off. Unfortunately for her, all your years of breaking in horses back in the village, as well as watching the men wrestle in the ring time and time again, had taught you how to keep yourself secured on her. At one point, the centaur tried to flail for her spear, but your arm lock kept her from succeeding.

After a few minutes had passed, the centaur started to breath heavily and you felt her muscles start to untense from fatigue.

"I concede. You've won."

"Not to sound insulting, but you centaurs are overly prideful creatures, so I'm not just taking your word for it."

The centaur weakly chuckles.

"A smart man. Would an oath convince you?"

"Depends on the oath."

The centaur nods.

"I, Lilryvel Starwalker, daughter of Zird Oakspear, do swear on the name of the great Forest Goddess Flidais that you have defeated me."

For a moment, you just sit there on her back thinking. You're not sure if that meant anything, but either way, you couldn't hold her like this forever so you decided to release her and hop off her back. You quickly grabbed her spear just in case though. When she looks you in the eyes, you see some sort of emotion in them that you can't quite make out at first until you realize what it is.
