Breakfast with the family

Samuel heads downstairs to find his mother, Hannah and older sister, Patricia in the kitchen cleaning up and Lily the youngest sibling quickly gobbling down her morning meal. Sam quickly sits down next to Lily to take his fill while Hannah and Patricia quickly join them to eat. “So Sam and Patricia when is your college opening up again?” Hannah asked.

A week earlier the college the siblings attended had to be shut down due to flooding from leaking piping. “A couple days at most they should have it cleaned up the mess by then.” Replied Patricia matter of factly. At only one year older than Sam, Patricia referred to as (Pat by the Family) she already showed excellent leadership skills and had an ironclad sense of honor, being the student council president and honor student had meant that she showed a stoic and proud in public but now in her purple pajamas, her usually tied up hair now flowing around ,casually eating breakfast reminded Sam of the Pat he grew up with. “Alright then tell me if the college reports when they’re going to open again.” Hannah responds with while taking a sip from her coffee. To Sam the most beautiful woman in the whole world was his own mother. His father struck gold when he married the raven haired wonder now sat before him, all dressed up in a pretty blue dress to start her day in. While he was not in the country anymore thinking about his mom made Samuel start thinking about his dad, he was currently away on business as he usually was and the times he was here he mostly rested. But Sam couldn’t really be upset with him after all he was one of the main reasons that the family was in the cushy position they were in.

“I can’t wait to finally get into college!” Announced Lily. Breaking Sam out of his day dream. At eighteen years of age she was the youngest of the household. Lily was full of wonder and energy, at some points Sam thought the Lily was actually a machine instead of a human. Dressed in her high school uniform Lily was quickly eating up her breakfast to head out to school. After a few more minutes of eating Lily proclaimed that she had finished and soon she headed out the door. Soon after Lily left Hannah excused herself picked up both hers and Lily’s plates and bowls placed them in the sink and left for the grocery to pick up stuff for dinner and lunch.

After leaving both Sam and Pat alone for now.
