Breakfast in bed

Lavorra catches the apple one handed, as Zeya sends it sailing across the room. In the warm morning light - slanting between heavy velvet curtains - she sits up in bed, sheet held loosely against her chest, more out of habit than shyness.

She takes a bite, relishing the cool crisp taste, her mouth still tingling with traces of Zeya. “Do you ever eat anything else?” She asks, raising an eyebrow.

Zeya settles in bed opposite her, legs clad in soft silken harem pants, her chest proudly naked. “These apples.” She wags a finger in Lavorra’s face, flicking her nose playfully. “Stopped us from ending up as brain-addled fuck-dolls until the end of time, so shush your mouth.”

“I thought you liked it open?” Lavorra retorts, feathering her tongue against Zeya’s fingertip. The Tiefling girl blushes deeply, a glorious maroon against the crimson of her skin.

“Not that I’d be complaining, but you should probably simmer down if you want to get anything done today. Otherwise I’m perfectly happy to fuck your brains out on every surface in this creepy old tower.”

That shuts Lavorra up, and she bites her lip, and then the apple, looking up innocently at the canopy of the four-poster bed. “It’s actually kind of nice. Now that the pests have been controlled.

Zeya laughs, then crawls forward, settling in beside Lavorra. Beneath the covers, their legs twine together, the Elven girl rubbing her feet against Zeya’s absent-mindedly. “Listening now?” Zeya starts, “Because I did some more exploring while you were sleeping.”

Lavorra settles her head into the crook of Zeya’s neck, enjoying the Tiefling merchant taking charge as she unrolls a sheaf of parchment, deciphering a tract of scrawled notes.

The comfort she feels is short lived, as they begin to read through the increasingly grim notes.
