Breakfast Pitstop

You knew Mom wouldn't be in the best of moods but you still made the effort to make it seem like nothing had happened as you went into the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast now that you were fully dressed.

“Morning Mom” you called out before kissing her on the top of the head as you walked past. You felt her slightly tense up at the contact but she calmed down once she knew that was all you planned to do.

“Sorry, I overslept so I'm running a bit late.” you lied trying to show her that your bedroom activities wouldn't be talked about like you promised. “What time will you be back home today?” you asked, trying to get her to respond.

“... I’m not sure. Around 5 maybe a bit later depending on traffic.” she answered, still wary of your earlier demands.

“Alright fair enough, just checking if you would be back before or after Lucy” you replied grabbing some fruit alongside some of the sandwiches Mom usually premade for both you and Sarah. It looked like you were still good for time for when Emma comes round later. You walked out of the kitchen but turned back around to poke your head around the door frame. “See you later Mom” you added. Mom finally seemed to realise you were being genuine. Or at least trying.

“See you later sweetie” she said looking a bit guilty for ignoring you.

“Love you Mom”

“Love you too” she smiled. You knew she wouldn't be completely forgiven with just a few nice words but with the KDK revealing Mom’s submissiveness and the active effects you had on hand, you were confident you could get her to change her mind within the week time limit you had given yourself. You had a few plans to push her along, but those mainly relied on her turning off the porn filter for now.

After saying your goodbyes you headed out the door and down the path in the front yard to begin your journey to school. As you had done yesterday you waited for a few blocks before going over the New information on the KDK that you had briefly skimmed earlier. There hadn't been any new explanations for your first level 2 unlock like you had thought there would be but the level 1 explanation did say that levels 1 to 4 were pretty much all the same. That left you wondering what would be different about level 5 since it had been left out.

You spent the rest of your walk coming up with theories about what it could be as well as some of the other areas the KDK had that were still locked. The final menu item was only a couple XP away so that was pretty exciting. From the information you had gathered from earlier explanations, you assumed it was a way to use your accumulated points but with no clues other than that you would just have to wait until it was revealed.

You surprisingly arrived at the front gate of the school with time to spare and were able to spend a few minutes chatting with Emma and some of your other friends. You apologised for not being able to hang out with them at lunch yesterday due to some college stuff you were discussing with a teacher. You didn't tell them the whole truth of course and were pretty vague on the details but did mention you’d be missing today as well. You talked for a few more minutes and even managed to exchange numbers with Emma and everyone else now that you had an actual phone before the bell rang and you all split up. This left just you and Emma walking to your next class together.

“First a phone and now college plans, someones growing up. What’s this college thing anyway?.” Emma asked with a playful tone.

“Nothing major, just had an idea to try and make me stand out on college applications. Mrs Ryan is helping me with a few things so I’m going to her office at lunch. You explained, “Well it was either lunch or after school and I didn't really want to leave you walking home on your own, especially considering we had already made plans.”

“And what would those plans be?” she teased. You tried to ignore the bait she had set up but it seemed the look on your face was enough to give you away.

“...H-how are your grandparents doing?” You asked, changing the topic to hide your embarrassment. Emma just grinned but decided to go along with the topic.

“They're doing fine at the moment, me and Mom were thinking of…” Emma answered, telling you the details of her visit yesterday.

You carried on your conversation as you walked down the hall and arrived at your next lesson alongside all the other students. Maths was one of the few subjects where you got to sit with Emma so you chatted whenever you had time throughout the lesson.

You split apart after that for the next periods and mostly kept to yourself as you waited for lunchtime to arrive.
