Breakdown Breakout

“You know it big boy,” Silk says with a playful wink, something that falls short as your cloud becomes even larger and darker than before.

Without a single word you reach into your coat, your fingers wrapping around Kagehime and pulling it out with a slow and purposeful movement until the entirety of the pitch black cane is held between you and the beautiful woman before you, “This thing right here just killed over five hundred people in a heartbeat. I blinked and they were gone, all I heard was the half second of screams when the pain hit them and poof, the entire building and complex I was in was mostly gone off the face of the earth. Hell, not even their souls could survive this because this is a SOUL CUTTING weapon. In the time it takes for a heart to take a quarter of a beat, I destroyed over five hundred living things, heart, body, and FUCKING SOUL!”

With those words finished you sweep your coat to the side, Katen Kyokotsu freshly attached to your waist and everything back in order as you continue, “ I haven’t even gone to the final release state of these blades but everyone who knows how these blades work tell me to NEVER release it when anyone I care about can see it. Hell, for all I know these two could be even worse than the first one but I don’t know because I’ve never had to…but you know what, if I continue with this shit I’m damn well certain I WILL find out sooner or later…after all, I am the universes all purpose handyman and ‘eraser’ right?”

Your tone becomes harsher as you let your coat close, your cane slamming to the ground as your fingers roughly grasp at the gargoyle atop it, “On top of that I’ve got this weird fucking mystical ass force that keeps bringing women to me and there is no end to it in sight at all! Lots of them have conflicting personalities and they keep getting in fights so I have to find a way to balance them with attention, my work as a Taicho, my duties as the Deadman Shinigami, and most of all keeping my fucking sanity from the buildup of stress! You know what that needs?! That’s not just some day kicking back and letting a woman cuddle with me, that is a three day bender of Sake and some god damned time alone away from this headache inducing shit! Hell, I haven’t had a single night to myself since this all began, I haven’t even slept because I Keep. Getting. TRANPORTED!”

You’re pretty sure there are tears beginning to burn in the corners of your eyes but you don’t stop, your voice getting hoarse as you continue to unload the stress upon the quietly listening Spectre, “I just want one day where I’m not special, a day to myself where I can fucking relax and forget everything without having to break up a fight, get into a fight, kill evil hollows, purify souls, or commit a mass genocide simply because the whole of existence likes to fuck with me!”

With those words your rant comes to an end, your body heaving up and down as you take loud and ragged breaths. Spectre, for her part remains silent throughout the whole episode, her calm gaze allowing you to go through your rant until you scream yourself to a red face and panting breath. Seeing your screaming at an end Spectre simply leans up and wraps her arms around you, her one hand stroking your back as she whispers, “Feel better?”

Swallowing a lump in your throat you nod slightly, your arms shakily wrapping around her body as you speak, “Yeah…thanks…”

Silk simply chuckles a bit, her arms squeezing a little tighter as she speaks, “no problem Johnny…no problem at all…”
