Break/Hiatus

Hi All,

I've been thinking of writing a post like this for a long time but each time I've wanted to try and hold out a little bit longer.

Before I start to ramble too much, I'm gonna go on hiatus again and put the Patreon on pending so that nobody is charged.

And I'll revisit the decision each month as thats the max you can put a Patreon on hold without manual intervention or without ended it permenantly.

As for my reasoning, I started this story over 5 years ago now and I'm in a very different place in my life compared to back then.

Ferbuary 28th 2021 being the date I first published a chapter on Chyoa which is still a wild fact to me.

I had a lot more free time when I started which is why my pace has slowed down over the years and as I've got closer to what I see as the end of Max's initial journey with the KDK, it has become less of a fun imagainative process as it used to.

I do still love this story and what it's slowly become over the years, with previous breaks helping get me out of a rut or two.

But at the moment, I'm finding it hard to find the time and motivation to bring the story to its end.

If I do find that I don't want to come back to the story at a later date, I will try to publish a free chapter to Patreon listing the main story points I had in mind for the conclusion and some of the notes I made along the way (and potentially an Author Q&A but no promises). This chapter will be tagged with a spoiler just in case people don't want to view it and leave things open.

For now though, I want to keep it open while also not having anyone be charged. Hopefully with this being a happy medium.

And last but certainly not least, I very genuinely do appreciate the support from everyone.

Whether thats been recently or as far back as when I started the story(I do still find myself surprised at how long some of you have stuck around), and I wanted to give each and every one of you a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I do not think I would have had any motivation to have continued this a year, let alone 5!

So I hope you all take care of yourselves and maybe see you later on down the line :)

P.S: I'll still be checking Chyoa out from time to time so if anyone does add their own unique branch to the story, I will make sure they are reviewed(just might not be as often as I would have previously).
