Brandon returns to the cabin

Brandon slumped up the steps to the cabin deck, exhausted to his core. He scratched his bare chest with one hand. What a great idea running after “Ashley” through the woods had been. After that, he felt sweaty and gritty and gross. He needed a shower. No, he needed a complete restart to the day.

Someone was sitting at the deck table, facing the beach.

“Brandon! What's up, man?” Gavin saluted with a beer can. “You find Ashley out there?”

Brandon's face burned.

He can't tell, right? Brandon searched Gavin's face for guile. I've got a sunburn. That's believable, right?

“Nah, she got away from me,” he **** through a smile. “How about Chloe? How long you been out here?”

“Oh, Chloe's fine. She wasn't feeling so good in the heat.”

Brandon laughed, wiped his brow with the t-shirt in his hand.

“I hear that. I think I got a sunburn out there.”

“Yeah, you're looking kinda like a lobster, man.” Both boys laughed.

There you go, Brandon! Smooth moves!

“Anyway, we just got back. Chloe's resting in her room. I heard my muse in the silence.”

Brandon nodded. So Gavin saw nothing. One thing he didn't have to worry about.

“What are you writing anyway?” Brandon tried to crane his head over the laptop screen, but Gavin threw himself over it.

“It's a uh.” Gavin took a minute to come up with an excuse on par with I'm not blushing, I'm sunburned. “A story. With a bunch of short chapters. But I'm not ready to show anybody yet. It's, you know. Proofreading and all that.”

“Sure, sure.” Hey, whatever. Writers always are kinda weird.

“So, you and Chloe are the only ones here?”

“No, Heather's busy in her room, and I..."

Wait. If I tell him I saw Victoria go to the bathroom, I might have to say she was naked, and then I might have to say she was naked with Kurt.

"...think I heard someone in the bathroom?”

“Great. I'll go check if that's Ash. Thanks, Gavin.”

“No problem.” Close one!

Brandon walked through the screen door into the living room. He caught the faint hiss of the shower running from the shared bathroom. Much closer, from one of the bedrooms, someone was moaning. A girl was moaning.

He looked around. Heather's bedroom with Gavin had a sock on the doorknob.

Classy, Heather, he snickered. You're lucky you've got a chill guy like Gavin to cover for you.

But he realized he couldn't hear a male voice accompanying her. Was Heather getting herself off? Alone? His blue balls flared up with a vengeance. For a girl that beautiful, it seemed indecent that Gavin hadn't stayed to help. He imagined Heather flashing him a smile and her round, jiggling tits as he walked through the door...
