Brad

The door swings open and Brad is standing there grinning like an idiot. I smile back and try not to laugh at how stupid he looks with that grin on his face. I fail and end up laughing anyway which causes him to frown a little and give me a puzzled look before smiling.
Brad: I’m so glad you could make it to the party. I know I’ll miss you when you leave tomorrow. Though, you are the first one here. Everyone else should be here soon. If you want to help, I’m still getting some stuff ready for the party in the basement.
Me: What’s left to do? I figured you would have everything ready by now.
Brad: Well, I’ve got some games I’m trying to decide between as well as making sure there’s plenty of other stuff to do. There isn’t a lot left to do, but I won’t turn down the help. If you don’t want to though, Lilly is in her room or you could greet everyone as they get here so I don’t have to keep coming to the door.
Thinking about which to do, I think about how I became good friends with Lilly being over here often spending time with Brad and therefore Lilly as well. Then there is being able to see what Brad has planned for the party before everyone else and maybe helping decided on how things go. Another way I could help is to answer the door so Brad has more time to prepare for the party and I would have more time to spend with some of the others before the party starts.
