"Nope, not a chance, I'm out of here," she thinks as she looks down and speeds up her pace. The man calls out again and she breaks into a run, going as fast as her shapely legs allow until she can see the forest line and the trading route that runs along it.

She turns around to make sure no one is in pursuit and she sees nothing of suspicion as the small village in her wake slowly comes to life with the rising sun.

Satisfied, she begins walking the next half-mile towards the road, catching her breath along the way.

As she reaches the road, she realizes that she has failed to consider exactly where she will begin her mercenary career. The options in her head match those on the way sign: East to Coulder's Coast, a large, unruly hive of crime and the center of the **** trade, or West to Centauri, the largest city in the land and a fine place to find work.
