Chapter 72 by royalgambler royalgambler

Evening Comes

Bombe Javanaise

The sun peeked through the glass overhang that comprised the interior of the botanical garden. The plants inside were so numerous and large that they cast a sunray effect on Lily as she meandered through. Last time she had been here, the plant girl had been accompanied by Amy, and the Oni didn’t share her interest in plants, so they hadn’t made it very far in. Now, retreating from the hotel and its occupants, Lily found that the garden just kept going. The island itself that they were on was small, so logic dictated it did end, but the plant woman hadn’t found it yet.

Lily made it to one of the railings overlooking what appeared to be a bed of hyacinths; however, they ranged in colour from red to neon yellow, suggesting they might not be the plants Lily was familiar with. She let out a deep exhale, and she gave herself a moment to slow down. She chuckled as she realized this had been the longest period of time since starting streaming that she hadn’t had to concern herself with a schedule. What was the popular game out right now? The new daily dose of internet? Who was graduating? Who was mysteriously debuting as if nothing had happened? It felt so strange, so mercurial to think about. It had been her world now for three years. She had made friends in the space, but there was also so much drama. All of it felt so…light and vacuous now.

She picked at her fingernails. What would the girls in that space think if she told them about her present situation? What about her followers? She smirked, “Hey Flower Buds, sorry about the stream delay, I’ve been trapped on an Island with a bunch of people who hate me, my ex, and a demon that wants us all to suffer. Also, I’m a plant now IRL, so anyway, let’s get started on HuniePop!” Lily stuck out her tongue and gagged herself with a finger, and then started to laugh. It was just so ridiculous. How many times did she go to bed just wishing it was a dream…

Stella and Amy’s words flew through her mind. She was just trying her best, trying to do what was right. If she didn’t…if she couldn’t do that…

Her mind drifted back to where it often did. She was four years old. They had just moved for the first time since Lily had been born in what would be the first of many moves. A neighbor had children around her and Meri’s age and had invited them and her parents over to play. The parents were drinking on the patio while the kids played in the yard. Lily remembered that the grass was so thick, and the sound of a dog in the distance barking because it saw the kids having fun and wanted to join in.

The yard had been so big, and Lily had been excited because their new yard was big like it too. She and Meri could plant flowers or have a sandbox. Something they couldn’t do in the old apartment. She couldn’t remember the neighbor’s kids' names. Two boys, the one constantly had dirt on his cheek, while the other couldn’t keep still. Meri had joked that he had ants in his pants, and Lily had thought it was so funny and made her repeat it several times. They were playing catch with a brightly coloured ball at the far end of the yard when the dirty boy had kicked it and sent it flying towards the patio. Lily had volunteered to get it.

The patio had a trellis surrounding it, enough gaps to be able to see into the yard, but closed off enough to feel secluded. Closed off enough not to notice Lily approaching to grab the ball. Her dad had a small glass in his hand and was laughing at something the neighbor had said. While her mother kept the same appraising gaze she always had. The neighbor took a drink of the rich tawny liquid in their glass and spoke up, “So, you move around a lot for work? Aren’t you worried about how that will impact your kids?”

Her mother had just given a knowing grin, “Well, that’s why we have the two.”

Her father cleared his throat, “We had only planned on having the one child, and lord knows when Meridith was born, we were as happy as can be. But you’re right, moving is hard on a child and we were worried she’d get lonely. So we decided to have another so she’d have a playmate. And well that’s how Lily happened.”

The world closed in on Lily; she knew she had just heard something that hadn’t been intended for her. She was only four years old, and the words were hard and grating, and she didn’t understand all of them. She wasn’t stupid, though; her parents had only wanted Meri. They got her just to…pad things out. As if it were easier to have another kid than to just buy a stuffed animal.

She had walked back silently with the ball in her hand, and her sister, her best friend, had called out, “Lil! Toss it here!” It was too much, she dropped the ball and ran off through the yard and past the gate door to the backyard. She briefly heard her parents call out, but didn’t follow. She ran across the road and collapsed on the other side, crying in the grass. She didn’t know how long she had been there when she heard footsteps. Thinking, maybe her parents had come to look for her, that they cared, she turned to look and say Meri, staring at her concerned. Lily tossed herself back in the grass, “Go away!”

Meri walked forward and sat next to her. She adjusted her glasses, “Lil, what’s wrong? Did I do something?”

Lily stared at her sister with puffy red eyes. She wanted to be mad, but seeing Meri look at her so concerned, she just started crying and told Meri what she had heard their parents say. “They don’t want me, they don’t love me.”

Patting her sister’s head, Meri shook her own, “I’m sure that’s not true Lil, but even if it was, so what? I love you, you’re my best friend. You’re smart, and funny, and nice. If you just do your best and do things right like you always do, even if mom and dad don’t see it now, they’ll notice.”

Through tear-stained eyes, Lily looked up at her sister, “Do you really think so?”

“Listen to your big sister!” Meri beamed, “I’m never wrong!” Lily chuckled and got up, and her sister extended her hand to her, and they walked back.

No one was here now, though; no one was running after Lily. The one person who might was too busy being off with her. She clicked her tongue, “Who cares what everyone else thinks! I’m going to keep trying, even if no one else will, I’m going to do what’s right!”

There was the sound of clapping from behind her, startling Lily and making her turn to see Lucian standing there, mock joy on his face. The demon mimed wiping a tear from his eye, “My, what a marvelous performance, shame only I got to see it. Well, and the audience, but let’s be frank, no one you would want to have seen.”

Lily’s cheeks puffed up, and her face grew a violent shade of pink against her green skin. “Are you here for a reason? Or just to toss insults?”

The demon shrugged, “I should point out that taunting contestants is a perfectly valid thing for a host to be doing, but no it’s not the only reason I’m here.”

Tapping her foot aggressively, Lily half growled, “Well, what is it?”

“Time,” Lucian raised his wrist and pulled his sleeve revealing a silver watch, “Making sure you don’t lose track of it. It will be curfew soon. And while, you are perfectly within your rights to elect to ignore that I should remind you that doing so will result in punishment administered by yours truly.”

Lily recoiled and looked down. She didn’t want to face Amy after their argument this morning, she was willing to acknowledge her reaction had been too intense, but she also wasn’t ready to apologize. She glanced up at Lucian, “Can’t I stay in someone else’s room? Maya is in the Master’s suite can’t I stay in her room with Stella?”

Rolling his eyes, Lucian shook his head, “Your ring dictates what room you should be in by the time curfew hits. If you are anywhere else, it will be considered missing curfew, even if it is another bedroom. So, you either suck it up and spend it with peach girl, or take a punishment. It’s your choice.”

“H-How…” Lily looked away, ashamed. “How long does the punishment last?”

“Aha,” Lucian lifted her fingers to his lips, “Well now, you’re asking the right question.” The demon smirked as he laid out the terms to Lily, who listened and vibrated with frustration. She couldn’t face the oni, not yet, not until she had proven she could make things right.

After fencing for a bit more, Maya and Caleb had parted for a bit. Caleb needed to clean things up in the gymnasium (the fauns probably could have handled it, but Caleb didn’t like the thought of getting used to having servants), and both needed a shower and a change of clothes. So it was after around another hour that they had met back up in the date dining hall for dinner. Caleb was enjoying some sort of almond-crusted fish, whereas Maya was enjoying mashed potatoes and some vegetables.

Caleb looked appraisingly over at her food. She had had something similar on their last date, too. “Are you a vegetarian, Maya?” he tried to do his best to convey curiosity rather than judgment.

Lifting a scoop of mashed potatoes to her lips, Maya shook her head, “No, I eat meat.”

“Oh, I guess I just realized I’ve never seen you do so.” Of course, Caleb hadn’t seen her eat the Banh mi the previous day.

Swallowing her food, Maya shrugged, “Probably because you only see me at breakfast, where I eat toast or cereal. But I do eat things like chicken nuggets, bacon, and burgers. Oh, and whatever was in the sandwich Maddy made yesterday. I don’t know the meats they serve on this menu, so I don’t pick them.”

Caleb lifted some of his fish. “Do you want to try my fish? It's good.”

“Almond on fish sounds weird,” Maya made a face, but leaned over and took the proffered bite. After chewing, she raised a hand to her lips in surprise, “It’s good.”

“Are you a picky eater?” Caleb asked taking his fork back.

“I don’t know…” Maya eyed his fish for a moment, “Just trying things, I don’t know what to expect. Like, I only have the one chance at having the meal right? Isn’t it natural to want to get it right and make sure you enjoy it? So I pick things that are safe.”

Caleb wasn’t exactly sure what she meant by getting the meal right, but also wasn’t so sure it was worth pushing on for the moment. She tried his fish, it wasn’t like she was against new things. So he decided to pivot, “Do you watch a lot of movies?”

“Mmm, where is that coming from?” Maya looked confused.

“Oh, I was just wondering because you quoted the Princess Bride earlier,” Caleb said casually.

Maya’s face still showed her confusion, “Oh, alright, um, no, not really. Princess Bride was one of my mom’s favourites, so it was one of the few VHSs we owned.”

Smiling, Caleb slid his mostly finished plate to the side, “VHS? Been a while since I met anyone with a VHS collection.”

“Not much of a collection,” Maya smiled, “We only had seven, though maybe if I were more into watching movies instead of playing games, Mom would have got more. It was our activity when she was too tired to play.”

“So, wait, are you saying you’ve only seen seven movies?” Caleb raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

The purple-haired woman counted off on her fingers, “Princess Bride, Big Trouble in Little China, Brave Little Toaster, Aladdin, Miss Congeniality, Back to the Future part 1, and the Parent Trap.”

“Which one?” Caleb asked

“Which what?” Maya looked increasingly confused.

“The Parent Trap, there's the original black and white, and then there’s the remake with Lindsay Lohan.”

“Oh,” Maya said simply, “I didn’t know it was a remake, I guess it’s the second one”

“Yeah, I guess it was a special interest for a while for me. A bit cliche for a kid of divorce to want a secret sibling he can collude with to get their parents back together. Dumb, right?” Caleb smiled sheepishly.

“I mean, I dunno if it’s dumb, I never thought that way. I thought the movie was dumb because adults have a lot of problems kids can’t understand. It seemed stupid for kids to try and get their parents back together.” Maya stated flatly, “I can understand wanting to meet a parent you never got the chance to.”

Caleb leaned in, “Do you know anything at all about your Dad?”

“I think he’s Colombian?” Maya tilted her head thoughtfully and then shook it. “No, the only thing I could wrangle out of Mom when I was little is that they used to work together and then things fell apart when they got serious.”

“I see,” Caleb regarded Maya carefully. He understood what it was like to have an absent parent, even if their circumstances were wildly different. When you’re young, even though you know they're likely not good people, you can’t help but ask.

They sat in silence for a bit, and then Caleb looked over, “I’m done with my food, are you ready to head upstairs?”

Suddenly, Maya looked determined and held up her fists, “Yes.” Caleb rose from the table and held out his hand to help Maya to her feet.

The lottery winner followed him to the elevator. She was ready; she had prepared for this. Last time, she had totally rocked his world, and now she was ready to dive on in and secure that VP. It had been a fun date, they had enjoyed each other's company, now it was time to go all the way. So when Caleb gently pushed her against the wall of the elevator and kissed her on the lips, it was not her who made a high-pitched squealing noise.

Caleb retracted slightly, looking concerned, “Are you ok?”

“I um, I just wasn’t ready and then you…” She cleared her throat, “I’m good now, you may proceed.” She made a quick beckoning gesture with both hands that made Caleb raise an eyebrow.

The woman had driven things on their first date, so this shyness was cute but unexpected. “Are you sure?” He managed to ask.

Maya grew frustrated and grabbed Caleb by the collar, “I’m good!” and brought her lips to his with probably more aggression than she had intended, but the result was that as the bell of the elevator rang, the two were too distracted in a competition of tongues to notice and it was only when they separated panting slightly.

Wordlessly, Caleb took Maya by the hand and led her to the bedroom. Maya frowned. She had missed her window to sneak in and get changed into a set of lingerie. He was taking over the pace, and it was leaving her feeling very exposed as his hands were now on her hips and his lips on her neck. As he nibbled gently on her ear, she couldn’t help but let out a low mewling sound.

No, this wasn’t how it was supposed to be! She was going to take charge! She was going to make sure she got the VP she wanted, and then his hands were sliding off her shirt. He had her back against his bed, and he was kissing her on the way down as he reached around and unclasped her bra and tossing it to the side. His eyes were half lidded as he broke the kiss, and there was a hunger Maya had seen last time, but now this hunger was taking the reins away from her as Caleb gently nipped at her neck.

“Tell me if something I do doesn’t feel good, ok?” He whispered into her ear before his hands enveloped her breasts and he began to suck on her neck. His fingers caressed her flesh, gently dancing upward and teasing her nipples. Maya brought a hand to cover her mouth as she tried to suppress her moans. Where had he learned to do this? Was there a book? Did he watch videos?

Caleb slid his hands down Maya’s body, taking care to gently caress her with his fingertips as she reached for her pants. As he unbuttoned them, he began to kiss down her torso. Last time, she had taken the lead, but he remembered her intro. If they were going to go any farther, he wanted to ensure that her experience was a good one. He didn’t know how they might define their relationship as it stood, but he cared for her. So it was with adoring eyes, as he slid down her pants and underwear, that he stared at her glistening sex and her abashed face.

Caleb dropped down to his knees in front of the bed, raising his hands to Maya’s thighs, he gently caressed her with his thumbs, “Let me pay you back for last time.”

Maya leaned forward, trying to see, “What do you mea-ah!” She let out a startled yelp as Caleb brought his tongue to her entrance and began to gently trace the outline of her pussy’s lips before running the flat of his tongue against her and searching for her clit with the tip of his tongue, sending sharp electric signals directly to Maya’s brain. He then slid his tongue inside and began to lick along her interior.

Maya clutched at the sheets beneath her. She wasn’t a prude; she had masturbated before, but it had been nothing like the **** on her senses that was currently happening. It was like Caleb was searching for something inside her and was going to search every nook and cranny until her found it all while his hands held her steady. Then she felt his hand inch upward and his thumb sink down, and a two-pronged **** began. Unable to hide it, Maya let out a sharp cry as he thumbed her clit and continued his attack inside her.

Something was beginning to build inside her; it was like a hot tidal wave pressing forward, surging from her abdomen and radiating out to her entire body. It was making it hard to control the utterances and noises, forcing their way out; she could only manage, “P-please…don’t stop!”

Caleb hadn’t planned on it, but hearing the encouragement from the lottery winner, redoubled his efforts on servicing her with his tongue. With one final flick of his thumb, he watched as Maya’s back arched and her arms convulsed against the bed as she let out a drawn-out, constrained screech. He massaged her thighs and watched as her body moved

Maya- Eaten out by the Master! +3 VP FIRST x2 BONUS

Caleb got up from the floor and leaned over next to Maya on the bed, whose chest was heaving as she panted heavily, one arm laid up covering her face. He gently took her arm and lowered it, and looked into her face. He spoke gently, “Did you enjoy that?”

Maya wasn’t able to put words to what she felt and simply nodded, eliciting a smile from Caleb.

He took her hand. “Do you want to do more?”

Maya swallowed and was ready to nod. This was it, this would be enough VP to take the lead, she’d be on top.

I hope someday you find someone you love enough to do that with.” Her mom’s voice suddenly filled her ears, and she froze. That’s right, that’s what her mom had wanted for her. Did…did she love Caleb?

“No no no no no no.” She began to mutter to herself, repeating the words over and over, and Caleb watched, startled and afraid, as Maya turned to her side and began to curl in before lifting her head and slamming it against the side of the bed.

Reflexively, Caleb reached out to grab her as she went to do it again, not knowing what was going on or what else to do. He thought originally he was just getting turned down for sex, which granted a blow to the ego, but now it was the furthest thing from his mind as he saw Maya’s face full of tears as she just sobbed out the words, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry, don’t hate me! Please don’t hate me!”

“Maya, I don’t hate you, hey, hey, it’s ok.” He tried to squash down the internal panic he was feeling as he stared into Maya’s distraught expression as she wriggled in his hands to try and hit her head again.

“No no no…” She just kept repeating and Caleb tried to gather her up in his arms holding her against him, unsure of what else to do.

He was unsure for how long they had been there like this, him holding her there, keeping her from harming herself as she just wailed. She had quieted down eventually. Hearing her breathing even out, Caleb adjusted his position enough to be able to see her face, and her eyes were closed. At some point in all that, she must have fallen asleep.

He let out a low breath as he felt the anxiety he had been storing finally escape as he gently laid her down on the bed. He slinked down beside her and stared up at the ceiling, unsure of what exactly had just happened or why. He tried to take solace in the quiet now around him, but struggled to find any peace.

Caleb turned to his side, reassuring himself that Maya was asleep, and closed his eyes. Unsure of what else to do but sleep and face things in the morning.

Well that was... a lot
