Blue!

Note: I wanted to do something different, so in this one Blue and Indigo are friends but still rivals. You could call them frenemies.

You see your best friend of almost sixteen years looking up at you, your own barely constrained excitement mimicked in her face. She turns eighteen today as well, and the two of you would embark on your Pokémon journey together. Obviously, you are going to be the better trainer, since both your parents were amazing trainers, but she has Professor Oak in her corner, so it's going to be a close one. You toss down a rope and shimmy down the three floors from your bedroom to meet her. She looks amazing and it feels weird, but she doesn't just look good. She looks attractive, like someone you would be interested in. Her brown hair is neatly tied back into a ponytail that was sticking out of the back of her Ivysaur baseball cap, her sparkling sapphire eyes are twinkling at you, and a small smile crawls up one side of her mouth. She is athletic, working out alongside you ever since the two of you decided to be trainers, and her 5'10 body reflects that. Your eyes travel down her face, taking in her outfit. She is wearing a cyan blue cropped halter tank, showing off her pale midriff and arms and an almost knee-length white skirt. You flick back to her breasts, eyes straining to pull away from her C-cups, and you pull your gaze down to her legs.

Big mistake.

Her long legs arere smooth and silky, and the unbidden thought of them thrown over your shoulders fills your mind.

"Holy shit, no! She's your best friend! Don't- Ugh- Bad thoughts!" You think angrily, banishing your horniness. You did not want to think about her that way. Besides, you've seen her almost naked plenty of times and this is the first time you found her arousing. Why were these thoughts showing up now? Oh right, you haven't had a chance to "satisfy yourself" in a week. That was why. No other reason.

"What's the matter, never seen a woman before, you virgin?" She teases, and lightly shoves your shoulder.

"Never seen one as ugly as you." You retort, rolling your eyes as she smirks at you.

"Well anyway, I was thinking we watch the sunrise together and then eat breakfast at your place before we get our starters. My mom and dad got called into Viridian city last night, so I was hoping I could eat something edible on the most important day of my life." She said, looking at me earnestly. Her parents are prominent politicians in Viridian city and they are always busy. As soon as Blue was old enough to live on her own, they dumped her with her grandfather, Professor Oak. She currently lives by herself in her mom's old house to learn about Pokémon while her parents do whatever it is politicians do and occasionally visit. Blue is also the worst cook you've ever seen. You're pretty sure she can't even boil water. Leaving her to make breakfast was asking for either a fire or chemical warfare. And there's nothing else to do, so watching the sunrise on your eighteenth birthday sounds fun.

"INDIGO HUNTER SYCAMORE! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY FLOORS!?" You could hear your mom screaming from inside the house. You wince, knowing that your mom calling you by your full name meant nothing good. Tracking water across the floor was one of your mom's worst pet peeves. And earlier, you walked from the shower to your room, leaving a trail of evidence that pointed right at you.

"Ooooh, I want to see this." Blue grins evilly, and you motion to the rope.

"Ladies first."

"Damn, I didn't know you were this much of a perv."

"What?" You tilt your head in confusion.

"I'm wearing a skirt, dumbass. If I climb first, you get a free look at my panties."

"Oh! I didn't mean that!" You stammer, trying to backtrack as she stares at you witheringly. She watches you squirm under her gaze for a few seconds, expression inscrutable.

"You know, I've seen you in your underwear before, it's not the first time..." You slowly trail off as her glare intensifies. Shit, did you just act creepy? Oh no, what if you made her feel bad? Should you apologize? Try to laugh it off? Pretend it never happened?

"Pfft! It's so fun watching you sweat!" She bursts out into laughter and slaps your shoulder, nearly bent over with mirth. "Oh, I don't care if you see my panties, you've seen it all so many times anyway! Hahaha!" You **** out a chuckle, happy that she isn't mad, and she starts to climb the rope into your bedroom. You climb up after her, noticing that she seems to be teasing you by waving her ass back and forth more than necessary as she climbs. Her panties were cute, Blue cotton ones covered in Vaporeons.

"Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human- NO! BAD THOUGHTS!" You beat up your inner monologue, pounding it into submission to hide your impure thoughts. Vaporeons are lovely Pokémon. They are not whatever your mind was about to think.

The two of you enter your bedroom, and as you look at her eagerly waiting for your mom to charge in, a nefarious plan fills your head. She's always flustering you, pranking you, and making you look like an idiot in front of the entire town. Like the time she trapped you in a Magikarp costume as you ran around blind through the town. Or the time she somehow convinced you that kneeling in the center of town for a full day would give you abs. And she has never fallen for any of your traps. But this one-sided humiliation war ends now. You hear your mom angrily stomping towards your door, and you activate your plan. You easily throw Blue onto the bed as she yelps in alarm and climb on top of her. You look down into her shocked eyes, just inches away from your own, and then the door slams open.

"What the hell?! Blue?!" Your mom shrieks, and you internally fist-pump. All according to plan. Your mom is stunned at the scene, her 5'9 frame frozen in the doorway. Her cobalt-blue eyes widen in shock as she takes in every detail, from Blue's rapidly reddening face to your cavalier expression. Your mom had the same black hair as you, though hers was tamed into a long braid down her back, and as she entered the room with an unreadable expression, it swished back and forth.

"No! Miss Sycamore this isn't what it looks like! We aren't-" Blue is in complete panic mode, and you bite your tongue to keep from breaking out into laughter. Oh, sweet ****! Your mom is the biggest gossip in town, and it wouldn't be long before everyone hears about the two of you. Blue prides herself on being the prim and proper daughter of the Oaks and being caught with anyone would make her the talk of the town for once.

"Please tell me the two of you used protection." Your mom sighs in resignment.

"Miss Sycamore we-" Blue squirms around and tries to escape, but you weigh more than her and easily hold her down.

"Don't worry mom, Blue's on the pill. And I'm sorry she tracked water across the floor." You cut her off, and watch her panic even more as she finally pushes you off of her. You didn't know if she was on birth control or not, but oh this was perfect! You embarrassed her and got out of trouble!

"Blue it's fine, just come in through the door next time, please? You're both eighteen, there's no need to be sneaky. And Indy, I expect you to be nice to her parents if you ever go over there." Your mom scolds, before changing her tone to a warm one, "I'm going to make breakfast now, and you're welcome to join us. You like pancakes right?"

"Yes, mom- ma'am." Blue squeaks out adorably, her face crimson as she looks anywhere but at your mom or you. Your mom closes the door, and you watch Blue compose herself over a few seconds.

"YOU ASSHOLE! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT!?" She screams and shoves you back onto your bed.

"Hahaha! That's payback you bitch! Ohhh, you turned so red, you looked like a tomato!" You roar with laughter as you roll back and forth on the bed. She's still glaring at you, but your joy is contagious and it isn't long before her glare turns into a suppressed smile.

"Oh shut up, you idiot. I'll get you back for that." She flops on top of you, and your laughs slowly quiet as you lie there. She is warm and soft, and you instinctively wrap your arms around her back as she lay on top of you. She sighs, and you feel like that was the right thing to do. You lay there for a minute, and then Blue stirs.

"Okay, get up. I want to eat your mom's pancakes." She stands up and pulls you up after her. The two of you make your way down the stairs, drawn toward the smell of chocolate chip pancakes. Your mom's favourite dish was exquisitely delicious, and you look forward to eating it, knowing it might be your last time for a while.

"I can't believe you fucking did that." Blue mutters, and the two of you sit opposite each other at the table. Your mom walks over with two heaping plates each stacked with half a dozen golden brown pancakes. Their surface was spotted with chocolate chips, a square piece of butter was placed on top, and knobs of butter are smushed between each pancake in the pile to create glorious waterfalls of melted fat. You restrain yourself from snatching the bottle of maple syrup and politely offer it to Blue. She takes it and proceeds to empty a quarter of the 1 L bottle onto her pancakes. She hands it back to you and you do the exact same thing until there's less than a half bottle left. Both of your pancake piles are now smothered in maple syrup and smell intoxicating, but there's one more component to add to make it the best breakfast ever. You pick up the can of whipped cream and spray yourself a mouthful, enjoying its sweetness. And then you add six little peaks on the top pancake, making a hexagon around the butter. You hand it to her, and she proceeds to spray whipped cream down the sides of her pile and makes a little pentacle design on the top pancake.

"Dear god, how can the two of you even stomach that? My arteries are clogging just from looking at those monstrosities." Your mom groans, and sits down next to you with her more modest pile of three pancakes. There's no butter on hers, and she adds just a little bit of maple syrup and no whipped cream. The three of you dig into your meals, and for the next ten minutes there are no sounds other than chewing and swallowing, as you and Blue shovel pancakes into the unending voids you call stomachs. It was absolutely delicious, and no one could tell you otherwise. Your mom looks at the two of you with mild disgust as she eats her pancakes like a normal person, as opposed to the two starving animals sharing her table. But these pancakes are amazing, and you wish that their supply would never end. With a sad sigh, you clean your plate of any maple syrup or whipped cream remnants and lean back against your chair, full from the absolutely amazing meal your mother had just cooked. After a few seconds, Blue cleans her plate as well, and the two of you look at your mom, slowly starting to eat her last pancake. She looks up from her plate and glances at the two of you, before rolling her eyes.

"Oh, go get your Pokémon, I'll be fine!" She exclaims and shoos the two of you away. You grab your plate and peck your mother on the forehead before putting it in the sink and rushing to the door. You put on your black and blue sneakers and the two of you walk outside into the early dawn.

"Race?" Blue asks and you grin at her as you stretch.

"Only if you want to lose."

"When my watch beeps we go, first one to the lab gets to pick first."

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Beep!

The two of you break out in a dead sprint as you race to the lab and so far it's neck and neck. You're halfway there, and Blue is just barely ahead by a few centimeters, but you don't plan on losing. You call on hidden reserves, draining all of your adrenaline as you get hit with a speed boost and pull ahead. You're almost there, and it looks like you might win! As the lab gets closer and closer, you realize something. You're going very fast, and that wall is getting closer very quickly. You try to slow down and watch sadly as Blue speeds past you and stops on a dime at the wall. And then you smash into the wall of the lab at almost full speed. You bounce off of it comically, flying a good ten feet backwards and lay on the dirt, trying to make the swirling pidgeys fade away.

"Damn, you okay Indy?" Two Blues say as they flicker in and out of view. They combine into one Blue and she reaches out to pull you up.

"Yeah, I'm fine." You groan, and the two of you enter the lab to get your starters. It's a momentous occasion, and your Pokémon journey begins now!
