“At any rate,to set the stage, our protagonist, Azula, is on a mission to seduce her brother, Zuko. To that end she steals an item that allows her to shapeshift. She then has one of her girlfriends transform into Zuko.”

“Back to the story. Azula’s two companions, Mai and Ty Lee, have decided to betray Azula and join up with Zuko and friends. You might think that this is a clever ploy from Azula and that would, as a matter of fact, make far more sense for what happens later. Unfortunately, it is not.”

“I don’t know any of these characters, Marcie.”

“Come one, Gina. You remember Ty Lee, she was in that other Avatar story we read.”

“Maybe this gives you an indication of how little I care about this.”

“Fortunately for Azula, Ty Lee does not tell her new friends that a murderous psychopath is hiding among them. Because…”

If she revealed Mai was Azula, there must be dire consequences. For example, Fire Nation troops would be near somewhere, read to attack any minute. Ty Lee couldn't take that risk.

“I’m...honestly at a loss for words, Marcie. This has to be most ludicrous justification for an action that I ever had the misfortune to read. This isn’t just an asspull, it’s an asshole pull! But guess what? IT GET’S WORSE! Now the fucking bitch is playing truth or dare and goes out picking flowers while a deranged killer hides in their home. Like, are you fucking kidding me right now? I mean what’s the fucking explanation here? Is Ty Lee just retarded or something?

“I think the story’s biggest flaw is a lack of direction. The focal point is supposed to be Azula seducing her brother but the vast majority of this story is just occupied with various sexy shenanigans of the characters, which I would have excused if the story were more transparent about it.”

“True, characters acting not just out of character but outright nonsensical is something you have to avoid at all cost. Sometimes, instead of pushing a certain direction, it is better to go with the flow and let the characters do what clearly is the logical choice for them. Especially with a story as free flowing as this one.”

“This might actually have been the most baffling decision of the author. There was no reason to go with all these weird name choices when the perfect option was staring him right in the face.”
