Elizabeth had always gone to the nice hospital when she'd given birth to Emily, Aaron and Katie. But for some reason, Moses was adamant that Samson be born in the same hospital he'd been born in. It was on the wrong side of town, and then some. They literally passed by a strip club on the way to the hospital. And simply going there, Elizabeth could see how privileged she'd had it being white. The hospital on the Black side was chaotic, and it took almost an hour to even get back to an uncomfortable bed. There, her nurses were Black, the doctor was Black. When she finally gave birth the next day, not a single white person touched her son until he'd been placed into her arms, named after the **** descendant on his father's side.
