Lionel Goldstein cleared his throat as he spoke into the speaker. "Julius, how are you, my man?" he tried to deliver smoothly but it came out stilted.

"What up, Lionel?" came the reply. "D'awgz Bone is too busy to come to the phone right now."

Lionel winced. Rap stars had such unbelievably stupid names, but they made solid earnings for the company and this one showed alot of potential, with his highly anticipated debut album set for release before the end of the fiscal quarter.

"Alright, well, the label needs you for a cross promotion," Lionel continued. "Have you ever heard of Keri-Lynn Hunter?"

"Uh... isn't she some country-fried cracker?" Julius sneered. "Wait a minute, she's that blonde bitch whose daddy said all that shit!"

"She's, yes, Julius..." Lionel stammered. "We're bringing her to the Mardi Gras event and we'd like her to do a song with... your client."

"Shouldn't she be at a cross burning or something?" Julius hollered. "Why the hell are we gonna go on stage with her?"

"She is not a racist, Julius. She's terminated her work relationship with her father," Lionel assured him. "Now we've made Darnell what he is today, so we need his help a little bit now with Keri-Lynn. We need to get a little bit of him on her."

"Well, I wouldn't mind getting a little bit of me on her, either," Julius cracked. "And in her, then finally all over her face."

Lionel blanched. "Okay, that's not an image I needed. Listen, Julius, it's a favor and the label always remembers favors. We need a performance."

"I'll talk to him," Julius said and hung up as his friend and client Darnell B. Jones aka "D'awgz Bone" walked into the room in a robe. "You know that Mardi Gras thing? Just talking to the suits about it; you should debut Bone of the ****."

"Wha?" D'awgz Bone replied sleepily, rubbing his eyes. "I'd love to, but isn't that one a bit controversial?"

"Maybe," Julius smiled. "But we have the label right where we want them. And we're gonna have one hell of a back-up singer."
