"I can't believe you still watch the local news. Oh my god, **** are bad! If you really want to stay up to date you should get an X account or at least look at reddit.", Claire said as she sipped her smoothie at the kitchen table.

Betty sighed, "I'm not trying to live on my phone 24/7, but if something collosal is happening I assume you'll tell me about it."

Claire just laughed, "Not if I am too busy. Are you coming to the Pi Kap party tonight?"

Claire was 5'7 with red hair, freckles, green eyes and a petite build. She made sure that every aspect of her appearance was always put together. In contrast, Betty was 5'3 with brown hair and hazel eyes. She had more of a mousy, bookish demeanor.

"I don't think so. I need to study for the Econ test tomorrow.", Betty said.

"Seriously? They're filling their entire basement with sand to do a beach party. How can you miss that?", Claire asked.

"If I don't get at least a B on the test, I'll be put on academic probation, lose my scholarship and I'll be kicked out of the sorority. I've gotta keep my priorities straight.", Betty said as she poured milk over her cereal in the kitchen.

Claire threw her hands up in defeat, "Fine, but you're missing the party of the year. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures."

Betty nodded, "Make sure you actually get home without me there."

Claire just smirked, "No promises."
