You pull back the hammer, rotating the pepperbox's chambers, and fire off shot after shot after shot as you get closer and closer to him. None of them hit, all impacting into the bulletproof curtains that Jace pulled earlier, but they keep him crouched down and in too awkward a position to prepare another bolt as you get right up to him.
