" Belphegor was a celestial being from ancient times, born or created long before humanity came to exist. He was one of the twenty seven celestial generals who were entrusted to maintain the order of the eighteen celestial realms. Belphegor was happy just allowing others to take the lead and only acting when necessary as he felt extra effort was unnecessary and weakened their subjects. "

He was known for spending his time with games and collecting knowledge, often willing to share with those if they just were to ask.

" When the Celestial Rebellion occurred, his best friend among the Celestial generals, Helel, attempted to recruit him to the rebellion. During this visit the angel Merihem showed up and attacked Helel in a surprise attack. Belphegor stopped Merihem from defeating and capturing Helel, allowing him to escape. When she attempted to attack Belphegor she was dispatched sent back to the other Celestial generals with the message that, Belphegor will not take sides in this foolish war, and to leave him and his out of it."

" The war continued with seven generals siding with Helel and losing an epic battle to the combined forces of the remaining generals. Who after defeating the rebellion and sealing nine of the realms from the Celestial realms and the Upper Realm, renaming them as the Infernal Realms and labeling those who had been cast out as demons."

" Next the Celestial generals came for Belphegor, and called his neutrality an act of treason. They attacked him, allowing Merihem to deliver the blow that cast him from the Celestial realm and sending him to fall to the Human or Mortal realm, gravely injured. "

" While there Belphegor encountered the woman Eisheth Zenunim, who although born a human had been **** to become a demon when cast out or escaping the human kingdom with Lilith. He is one of the few ancient demons that she confided in that she was not actually Lilith’s sister but her daughter with the human king, Adamah. She cared for him till he regained strength enough and the demon king, Satanas, came to call on him to join them in the infernal realm as a king of his own realm."

" He accepted and prepared to leave the mortal realm, offering Eisheth Zenunim a place as his queen in the realm known as the Abyss of Gehenna. She turned him down though, but also revealed that she carried his child, and would deliver the infant upon birth to him."

" Meanwhile in the Celestial realm the angel, Merihem was upset that the coward was allowed to exist freely and now was leaving his imprisonment of the mortal realm for hell. So taking it upon herself, she attacked Belphegor while he was still in the mortal realm, planning to destroy him and receive praise from the generals. Belphegor had recovered though and easily subdued her when she attacked. That is when a troop of celestial messengers caught up, and informed her that not only was she cast out of the ranks of the Celestial army but had been stripped of rank and labelled a demon. They told Belphegor, she now belonged to him to do with as he saw fit"

" The new king of hell brought her to his realm with him, and **** her to act as an advisor after swearing loyalty to him. "

" As a king of hell, and the Lord of Gehenna, he had a massive cathedral constructed at it’s center, and several fallen joined his demon kingdom. Next he constructed temples on the outskirts of his capitol that could link to the other infernal realms and the human/mortal realm."

" Over time the realm became populated with the children of the original demons and deceased human souls came their if their lives dictated it. Belphegor became known for playing games with his subjects so that he could find the most worthy to fill any position, rewarding those who succeed and leaving those that fail to their punishments by the winners. He is known to play a role in all aspects of the life of those in Gehenna, although mostly from the shadows without direct interaction, so that they are truly responsible for their own fates."

" Belphegor is also known for meddling in the human realm, forming pacts with mortals and offering unearned knowledge and power to those he sees fit. Though some claim for him it is all just a means of entertainment."

" As the king of Gehenna, he has taken many lovers over the centuries, producing countless children. Though in truth his heart has always been with Eisheth Zenunim and he will do almost anything to win her favor when she visits his realm on occasion. "

" Belphegor is a curious and playful individual, who finds the idea of using others as beings he constantly plays with or tests to see how they will react. He is a powerful leader, although the fact that he prefers indirect actions more than direct, some have given him a title of king of sloth. He is also very interested in human inventions and innovations. "

" Although he has taken many lovers over time, his only true love is most likely Eisheth Zenunim."

" He also greatly values his children and wants them to be worthy of the positions they hold, so he constantly tests them. Sometimes even pitting them against their siblings or outsiders to see how they will act."
