Begrudgingly, Lauren begins to color with the markers

Lauren pouted as she pulled out the box of markers, chose a purple marker and put the cap on the opposite end of the marker as she began to color the body of the unicorn. She rotated colors going from purple to red and slowly became absorbed in the “art piece” she was making. She didn’t even notice the mess that was slowly forming with markers strewn on the floor and desk and the small marks on her fingers and at some point, she even dotted her nose with red marker.

Still, Lauren was too focused on the work she was doing to notice the growing urge to go to the bathroom and also Jennifer who was secretly taking pictures of Lauren’s ridiculous look with marker all over her face and arms looking more clown like the more she colored.

Lauren hardly noticed the squirts of urine in her underwear she made.

Lauren finally looked up after finishing another page and gasped as she still saw 3/4ths of the stack left. She also noticed that because of the pressure she was applying to the markers she was using, it was slowly wearing off and even though there were 50 markers, Lauren was blowing through all of them. And as Lauren looked at the markers, the ones that were left were white and a variety of ugly yellows.

Lauren gazed at the crayons and whimpered.

Would she really reduce herself to such a juvenile utensil? Or try to make the last markers work?
