Becky slays the Shaman

Becky cautiously pushed through the door, inching ever closer to the Shaman, her paralytic blade drawn and at the ready. She was thankful that the stealth potion hadn't worn off yet, since it would make going unnoticed by the Shaman much easier.

She crept up behind him entirely unnoticed, the stone floor making it easier for her soft steps to be entirely unheard. With a tiny gap between her and the Shaman, Becky reached out with her dagger and ran it across the Gnolls throat. He gave a shocked gurgling sound before toppling forward, dead.

Becky let out a deep breath. The deed was done. She hadn't been sent here to kill the Shaman, but with him out of the way, it would be much easier for the Bravos to clear out the rest of the Gnolls and rescue any women that might be trapped here. There was little of interest in the hut other than perhaps the Shaman's staff. It was made of crude, knotted wood, tangled around itself, and covered in rough arcane symbols. With the Gnoll's ****, however, it's power seemed to have faded. The shadowy aura that pervaded the hut was fading as well, and Becky soon realized that it probably wouldn't be too long before one of the other Gnolls realized the shaman was dead.

Becky now had a dilemma. She had only scouted the one chamber-- it was entirely possible that there were more dangerous enemies elsewhere in the cave system. As the same time, however, it was likely that she was now on a time limit. If the other Gnolls realized that someone had killed the shaman, they would be out in **** looking for her. It would be much more difficult to escape the caves if they were actively looking for her.
