Becky hesitates to board

The ship was massive compared to the small group of Bravos that were now gathered before it, yet still somehow dwarfed by nearly every other ship on the docks. Becky, having the most experience with skyships of the group by a long shot was in the best place to judge its make and style.

A small, pitch-black ship with more engines than anything else was likely to be one of two things. First, a smuggling vessel would make good use of the Duckling's pitch black coloration and obvious capability for high speeds. Becky wouldn't have been surprised to hear that the ship had once passed its days as a smuggling ship of sorts, but the multitude of cannons and ballistae which had been attached to it suggested that its was likely closer to the second, much less pleasant, option.

Like most airships outfitted for combat, the massive balloon which would give lift to its boat-like hull was covered in armored plates and protected on all sides by overlapping rings of twisted metal. Somewhat rare magical artifacts would be set up inside to provide a constant flow of super-heated steam for updraft, while propellers outfitted on the back and sides would serve for propulsion and steering. From the looks of it, the Midnight Duckling had enough engines in enough places to enable some seriously complex maneuvers with a competent enough helmsman.

As the rest of the Bravos began to make their way inside, guided by the persistently amiable Peregrine, Becky grabbed onto Fuu's shoulder, pulling her back. "They're pirates." Becky said. She spoke shortly and without emotion, but it conveyed more than enough.

"I suppose it makes sense." Fuu gave her best reassuring smile. "We'll watch each other's backs, right? Like we always do." Fuu paused, considering for a moment. "If you don't want to do this, you don't have to. Though I'm not sure you'd be much better off here in town, and..."

"And this is probably the best shot I'm gonna get at sticking a knife in Low." Becky finished grimly.

Fuu nodded.

"We just have to be careful, okay?" Becky said. "No matter how much that man might smile and promise, you can never trust a pirate."

Now with Becky leading the way, the final two Bravos walked across some laid out planks and onto the deck of the Midnight duckling.
