Becky gets in over her head trying to save Fuu

Becky knew she needed to be careful, but there was just no time for it! Ever moment that passed by was another moment Fuu would have to endure the horrible ravaging of the Gnoll Chieftain, and Becky couldn't bear to see her dear friend go through that, especially when she could do something about it!

Becky crept closer and closer to the chieftain, pulling her dagger slowly out of its sheath, paralyzing poison already dowsing the blade, ready for the kill. As she getting close enough to do the final deed, however, the Chieftain suddenly stopped moving.

Becky froze as the Chieftain slowed, then stopped his previously wild bucking into Fuu. As she watched, horror and dread filling her body, the Gnoll Chieftain raised his head to sniff the air. A moment later, as he dropped Fuu to the ground, Becky knew she needed to run. Every instinct and muscle in her body told her to flee, but she couldn't just abandon her friend! The two forces struggled with one another, wrestling on whether to rush forward and stab him desperately now, or flee and try to rescue Fuu later.

So, as the Gnoll Chieftain, slowly turned to face her, Becky stood, frozen on the spot.

Her panic only deepened as the Chieftain recognized her. His face, moments earlier full of caution, spread into a wide, crazy grin. Before Becky even had a chance to scream, then Chieftain lunged forward, paw outstretched.
