Becky decides to swim across the river

Becky figured her only way to escape from the island would probably be to swim over to the jungle and put as much distance between herself and the lodge before the Lizardfolk got back to check on her. Sure, she might be able to do something clever with supplies recovered from the lodge, or even set her own ambush and try and take one of them hostage, but those options seemed far too risky.

She wasn't an amazing swimmer, her slender form didn't lend itself very well to most athletic activities, but Becky figured that as long as there were no Lizardfolk around, she should be okay. She carefully examined the water before straying too far from the lodge, not wanting to be caught unaware a second time.

Much to her relief, the lake seemed to be empty of Lizardfolk, though it was murky enough that she had a hard time getting a good estimate of its depth, and she couldn't be absolutely certain that nothing was lurking beneath the surface.

Becky sighed. If she had her supplies, it would be no big deal to make a quick waterbreathing potion. As it was, however, she was not only without any equipment, but completely naked as well. Just swimming would have to suffice.

With one last glance around to make sure that she wasn't about to be ambushed, Becky waded into the murky water, kicking off once her feet could no longer touch the bottom.
