Chapter 4 by zankoo zankoo

Which apartment does Danny watch?

Barkley, 4 Right: Legs of Steel

Although Danny could see most of the windows of The Barkley across the street, the top floor apartment on the far end of the building was the most distant. Because of the angle down the street, the only times that anything in there was visible was late at night, and if the residents had the lights on -- which didn't happen often.

At one point, it seemed that they were renovating or remodeling the room. Out went the sofa (whose back was to the window, and whose faded upholstery was in dire need of being incinerated), and in came some gym equipment. There was a treadmill and a leg press machine visible in the windows.

Until the gym activity, Danny never even really knew who might live there. He never saw anyone's face, and the attire the assorted legs wore was rather nondescript. Plus, with the position of the old couch, it was tough to get a sense of much of anything.

All that changed with the arrival of the gym equipment.

If you're serious enough to put gym equipment in your 6th floor walkup, you're serious enough to dress for the part. Danny quickly learned that at least one resident of Barkley, 6 Left was a woman -- a red-haired woman with assorted neon-colored gym attire, and what he figured to be some seriously strong legs.

That 6th floor apartment was quite a distance, but Legs of Steel had so much definition, so much rippling muscle as she ran on the treadmill and worked the leg press. If every Danny needed a fantasy about female leg domination, Legs of Steel was the woman at the center of the story.
