Chapter 11

What do the texts read?
Bad news all around
As I arrive slightly early at work, I find that I have enough time to read my messages. None from the girls or Bart, just Madelon as expected.
The first in response to the prompt: Tell me about your current relationship. 'I have been dating my current boyfriend for two months. His name is Tim Smit. He was recommended to me by my dad. He was super kind at first, but for the last month, he has been demanding sex every date. If I don't relent, he beats me like yesterday. He then, the day after, is super kind, like this morning he had sent me a bunch of cute messages. When we go out, he is super nice. Mom says I am lucky and that Dad would never do such a thing. I am quite happy.'
Tim Smith?!? That cunt, the guy who shat himself when he saw me from 5 till I lost contact. The dude whom I specifically told not to hurt mine. Is he her current boyfriend?!? My day started strong, but I should have known some bad news was coming. Then he tries to make all well after forcing her to have sex. I don't think he will do any humiliating quests unless the rewards are too good to pass up, or I can **** him to complete them. Looking through the tree, I spot Target Unawareness. That seems to make targets do it unconsciously. Maybe? No, I shouldn't use this in anger. On top of that, having Madelon bring him on a date might be enough to scare him straight. Let's hope the next one isn't going to be as bad.
Second prompt: Tell me about your current living situation. 'I am still living with my parents. I do all of the chores like a good girl. I wish I had more freedom, though. They restrict who I am allowed to see and what I go and see. I could leave for work if I had any. I am basically not allowed to leave the home except with Tim, and he has to bring me home as well. My father is drunk 5 out of 7 days, and he is violent and demanding. Mom is restricting how much I can eat. For my own good, I am a fat pig.'
This continues for a bit, but instead of reading more, I decide I get the gist of it and if someone had asked me where my sister would be 10 years in the future 10 years ago. I probably would have answered: 'Either A married to an abusive ass of a husband, B living at home as a live-in maid denigrated by my parents, C miraculously escaped.' We are firmly in B. As to her weight, I would expect her to be under, not overweight. Calling her a pig is... insulting to say the least, and that from our mom.
The last prompt, I had a hint about, but a more complete picture was painted in her last text. 'Work as I said, I am currently not employed, doing no education, but am looking for a job. Before my current stint in unemployment, I have had 6 jobs. When I was young, delivery but for school I stopped. After high school, I started nursing school and was a dishwasher to pay for it. Both of those lasted six months. Then I did a stint as a mailperson for a year. A year break until I was hired as a server at a local restaurant. That stayed good and well for 2 years. The last one was also 2 years as a server. So overall, I have a lot of service experience.'
I look at my phone damm. She has hopped a lot between jobs. Mostly in the service industry, she would be a good fit here, maybe. The app hasn't prompted me to give her a new quest, so I can't push her to apply here using that. But I have her number. 'Send your CV (just a form of shorthand for curriculum vitae, a different way of saying resume) to [company email]. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Pieter works here, do with it what you want.' This might be too pushy or even unnecessary given her rewards.
What is Robin doing?
