Back to Kris' apartment.

You begin heading back to Kris' apartment. The walk isn't very long, and soon enough you're right outside their door. Before you enter though, you hear what sounds like Susie and Kris talking to each other. You lean closer to the door to listen in.

"...don't get why you're so worried. I'm sure they'll come back eventually... probably. They were smart enough to grab the spare key, so that probably means they're gonna come back, right?" You can hear Susie trying to reassure Kris. When Kris speaks it's a lot harder to hear, it's almost like they're mumbling over they're words. Whatever Kris says, it seems to make Susie a bit doubtful, since you can then hear her say, "Well, if it's that important, then I guess we should go look for them. I'm sure they're doing fine though. Probably eating a burger at Grill's or something."

After that, you can hear sounds of movement. It seems like now would be a good time to enter, before they get too prepared to go out looking for you. You insert the key into the doorknob and unlock it, before stepping in. You see that Susie is just about to get up from the couch, but when she notices you enter she is instead the first to respond to your entrance. "Ya see, I told you. You didn't have to worry so much after all. You picked a perfect time to show up, Vessel. Me and Kris were just about to start looking for you. So what were you doing all day anyway?" You explain to Susie that you were just exploring the town and getting familiar with your new surroundings. Kris silently stares at you from the behind the kitchen island, an uneasy look on their face, but Susie doesn't notice.

"Guess I can't blame ya for being curious. Meh, it's alright. We still need to figure out why you're here though, so don't go and get yourself too lost." Susie says, getting herself comfortable on the couch once again. "Speaking of, did ya get any ideas of why you showed up in the Dark World? Maybe all that walking around gave you a clue or something."

You contemplate Susie's words for a moment. While you are still unsure of exactly why you suddenly appeared in the Dark World, perhaps it would be a good idea to set a goal for yourself. You can always change your mind later if it doesn't seem to be working out for you anymore.
