Chapter 14 by Elfie Elfie

Where can Lavorra go from here?

Back the way she came

Set the Scene

Complication: [6] Things actually go as planned… Lavorra gets away clear, and disappears into the woods, leaving the camp behind.

Altered Scene: [4] Normal… the woods are calm and quiet.

Lavorra stumbles through the woods for what seems like hours, doggedly pushing ahead. Her feet ache, and are marked with nicks and scrapes from the rough forest floor. To a Hearthland Wood Elf, such terrain would barely scratch bare feet, but she’s spent too long in civilisation and comfortable boots.

Her feet are the least of her worries though. She shivers in her simple makeshift dress, skin crawling with the sensation of Kurt’s blood sticking to her. She must be filthy, covered head to toe in gore, grime, and worse.

Her legs, her neck, her throat and her womb ache. And with every step comes the surety that even now, her body is preparing to carry the child of one of the many men who’ve had their way with her tonight.

She feels vile, in body and spirit, and humiliated too. She’s supposed to be a warrior a Paladin on a quest, and she’s ended up a camp whore; knocked up and abused, with a belly full of strange men’s seed. She can still taste a mixture of different members on her tongue, and spits on the ground.

She leans against a tree, her small frame shaking with silent sobs for a moment. Then, by chance, she looks up through bleary eyes, and sees the forest road ahead of her, where all the trouble began.

Her heart feels as though it will burst, as she realises what a mess she’s made of things. How can she save Melira now? How could she have put her oath and her pride ahead of her friend’s safety? She will never forgive herself if Melira comes to serious harm, or worse…

She looks up and down the road with forlorn eyes. From here, it’s still half a day’s journey to Vedermark, and the Chapel. She lets out a small wail at the thought of stumbling through the Chapel gates, stripped of her gear and reduced to a **** whore; having to suffer the pity of her sisters.

Can she make it all that way? Can she even bring herself to go back?

The alternative is to seek shelter or help back on the road. Which could lead to yet more danger…

Can Lavorra bring herself to return to the Chapel?
