Back inside

As soon as Ruby ended the call, she looked down at herself and noticed that she was dry enough to go back inside. Turning around, Ruby strode through the front door to the house, almost immediately missing the feeling of the sun and fresh air caressing her body.

In truth, she had stopped noticing them within minutes of going outside. They had become sensory background noise for her, little more than the feeling of her hair tickling her shoulders. But now that they were gone, Ruby definitely noticed their lack and knew she wanted to experience them again.

Maybe I am a nudist... Ruby thought, remembering Kyne's question from earlier.

Shaking those thoughts out of her head, Ruby walked to the laundry room and saw that the drier was done with her clothes. By the feel of them, it was within the last few minutes. Unfortunately, the warmth faded rather quickly, and Ruby was **** to perform the dreadful task of actually folding her laundry.

As she did this, Ruby grabbed some clothes out of the pile that she could wear. Her family would be back soon, and she had no desire to explain why she was naked. In the end, she settled on jean shorts and a simple green t-shirt, deciding to skip the underwear for now.

Once Ruby had all the laundry folded and put away, she realized that she was done. Her entire list of chores was completed.

Why was I putting all of this off for so long? Ruby thought again, walking back to the living room and plopping down on the couch. Not entirely sure what to do with herself for now, she turned on the tv and began idly flipping through channels.

Ruby sat there watching tv until her dad and sister came home about half an hour later. Once they were home, Tai looked all over, making sure Ruby had completed all of her chores as he had asked.

"Ok," he said once he was done. "You can keep your video games. But I don't want to have to remind you every five minutes to do your chores. Got it?"

Ruby nodded her agreement, and they all went about their business until dinner time.
