BAE Chapter 89

A joke would lighten the mood, but that would be more of a Stephanie Brown move than a Sara Smith move. Besides, forming words is going to be difficult. Her trapped cock aches and her chest is tight with anxiety. She’s sweating even worse.

The carriage suddenly drops about three inches. Vicki stumbles back and Stephanie catches her, but not before Vicki’s firm rear pushes hard against her bulge. The pleasure isn’t overwhelming, but it’s more than enough to startle Sara, who gasps audibly into Vicki’s hair. Lots of people cried out just now, so Vicki’s probably the only one who heard that, but she absolutely cannot fail to understand.

Vicki stiffens for a moment, but the carriage doesn’t move. Fear at the predicament temporarily overwhelms other considerations. She startles when the phone in the elevator rings, and that sends another starburst of pleasure shooting through Stephanie’s body.

The woman nearest the panel answers the phone, and she’s pressed between several people herself.

“Yes? Help us. Please,” she squeaks. “OK. OK.” She hangs up. “They know we’re stuck. They’re fixing it.”

There are some sounds of relief from other people and some nervous laughter.

Vicki’s head turns slightly.

“You OK back there?”

“Never better.”

“I guess it’s never too late to do a little in-depth reporting on the Seed incident,” Vicki murmurs innocently. “What would you think of that?”

“Not sure what you mean,” Stephanie replies, her voice coming out unusually squeaky.

Vicki presses and moves around a little.

Stephanie hisses through her teeth. Then she stops.

“Can I count on you to be a reliable source on the campaign?”

“Probably not,” Stephanie says honestly. It’s hard to think straight, but she didn’t join this campaign to leak information to the press. She’s here to leak information to Babs.

“Too bad,” Vicki says. With that, she feigns a trip and grinds expertly, reaching back with one hand to make sure that Stephanie gets the full effect. Other people have started quietly and awkwardly chatting, but Stephanie’s sharp gasp quiets several of them down. Her face is red and shiny and her jaw is clenched. Her cock throbs, gushing copious jizz that has nowhere to go. She can feel it filling her panties. Vicki can feel it too.

“Sorry,” she says hoarsely. “I’m not good in tight spaces.”

The elevator starts to move again.

“Guess we’ll have to reschedule this talk,” Vicki remarks. “You have laundry to do, Miss Smith.”

“…and that’s why you can’t trust any other brand. In Gotham, cleanup is no joke. Bella Garten’s line of locally-sourced, plant-based cleaning products is more than a match for anything this city can throw at you. Look for them wherever quality products are sold. WGCR, your home for entertainment and edification since 1939. Welcome back, folks. Jack Ryder here. It’s time to talk about what’s going on at Wayne Enterprises. First, Bruce Wayne drops off the face of the Earth. They say he’s in Monaco, but then why didn’t anyone manage to catch him on camera at the Grand Prix? Then we’ve got the DA’s wife joining Wayne’s board of directors while the daughter of the Police Commissioner is suddenly an intern being promoted to a prestigious position within the company, apparently skipping the general internship program entirely. There’s chatter now that she’s headed for a seat on the board and a corner office. And then we have none other than Dr. Pamela Isley, known better as Poison Ivy, spirited out of Arkham into the loving arms of Waynetech just because she has the answer to a problem that she created! We’re supposed to believe that it’s a coincidence that Lucius Fox is stacking this company with law enforcement connections and nepo-babies while he tries to exploit criminals to drive up the stock price while Wayne is away? Are we supposed to believe that this is all clean and above board? Who would we turn to? He’s got the police and the district attorney—maybe the next mayor of this fine city—in his pocket! We’re just supposed to watch while Lucius Fox steals Bruce Wayne’s company out from under him? Fox has been openly supportive of countless initiatives aimed at taking your hard-earned money and giving it to Gotham’s degenerates, and that’s what he’s going to do here. You think this dog and pony show with the Seed Attack is about women’s bodies? No. Fox is consolidating his influence in the company. You thought we had a problem with immigrants in this town? Just wait until they get a whiff of the free money that Lucius Fox will be waving around when he announces his mayoral campaign. But that’s your money. And Bruce Wayne’s money. You think this man will be satisfied as CEO? I wouldn’t be surprised if he has his eye on the White House…”

“Must we listen to this, Ms. Gordon?” Alfred asks.

Barbara gazes out the window in the backseat of the Rolls as they pull up in front of Wayne Tower.

“You can turn it off,” she says. “Don’t worry about the door.”

“Very good, Ms. Gordon.”

Barbara climbs out, smoothing her blazer. It’s cold and the cloud cover’s getting heavier. They probably won’t see the sun again until spring. She hurries up the steps and into the lobby, donning her new lanyard that will let her bypass security.

A figure stands between her and the elevators, perfectly reflected in the glossy marble floor.

Aki Aramaki wears a red dress under a long white coat with a lovely silk scarf around her neck. She looks beautiful and coldly neutral, although there’s just the slightest indication of humility: a little irony in her gaze.

Barbara draws up short in front of her. She had a feeling this was coming.

“Can we talk?” Aki asks and places her hand on her hip.

In this moment, Barbara knows that she has the upper hand. She doesn’t know the details, but sometime last night, Ivy did something that made Lucius very happy. He told the board, and the board is expecting this new development to play well with the shareholders. Barbara’s market value is skyrocketing. Aki had originally hoped to control her. Now she’s hoping to ally with her.

“I’m curious, Ms. Gordon. About where you spend your nights,” Aki says, unblinking.

Talk to Aki?

Or go to Ivy?
