Chapter 4 by MonsterCondom MonsterCondom

What's next?

Azula(Post-ATLA)

Azula, Zirin, and two other members of the Fire Warriors moved stealthily through the dense forest of the Fire Nation under the cover of night. The canopy overhead was thick, allowing only slivers of moonlight to pierce through, casting eerie shadows on the forest floor. Azula’s eyes flickered with the intensity of a predator on the hunt as she muttered to herself, "Some people are worthy, while others will never be."

They soon reached a small, isolated village. Its houses were dimly lit, and the only sound was the occasional rustle of leaves in the night breeze. The focal point of their mission was a granary, the heart of the village's sustenance. Azula's lips curled into a sinister smile as she whispered, "Time to send a message."

As they crept closer, Azula spotted a familiar figure. Ty Lee, dressed in her acrobat uniform, was bringing tea to a pair of soldiers standing guard at the granary. Azula's teeth clenched at the sight of her former friend. With a flick of her wrist, she signaled the Fire Warriors to move into position. The air was tense, charged with the impending ****.

Azula moved like a shadow, her movements fluid and silent. She approached the granary, her hands glowing with the blue flame of her firebending. With a quick, decisive motion, she unleashed a torrent of fire, igniting the granary's contents. Flames roared to life, licking at the wooden beams and quickly engulfing the structure.

Ty Lee, still with the soldiers, looked up at the explosion. Her eyes widened momentarily, but then she composed herself and turned to the guards. "Drink up," she urged. "You'll need your strength tonight."

The granary exploded in a fiery inferno, the heat and light blazing against the dark sky. Azula and the Fire Warriors began to retreat, but Ty Lee's voice rang out. "Now!"

From the forest, a group of soldiers emerged, their armor glinting in the firelight. They surrounded Azula's group in an instant. Ty Lee stepped forward, her gaze fixed on Azula. "The granary was empty. It was a trap. I won’t let you cause more trouble for Zuko."

Chiyou, one of the Fire Warriors, lunged at Ty Lee with a ferocious burst of firebending. Ty Lee dodged with her usual agility, her movements almost dance-like. In a fluid motion, she struck Chiyou’s pressure points, rendering her firebending useless. The two groups clashed in a chaotic melee, fire and fists flying. Despite their skills, the Fire Warriors were outnumbered and overwhelmed.

Azula, realizing the fight was turning against them, created a towering wall of flame, forcing Ty Lee and the soldiers to retreat. The remaining Fire Warriors fled into the forest, leaving Chiyous behind.

At a secluded campsite deep within the forest, the Fire Warriors regrouped. Azula’s eyes blazed with fury as she paced. Zirin approached her, the firelight casting sharp shadows on her face. "We need to go back for Chiyou."

Azula snapped, "She's gone. Just a casualty of war."

Zirin's eyes narrowed. "This isn't a war, Azula. You promised we'd help the downtrodden of the Fire Nation. Not that we would become criminal! We're not your pawns to sacrifice."

Azula's anger flared. "I saved you! You were all imprisoned. I gave you a purpose. You will do as I say."

Zirin backed down, but the resentment was palpable. As Azula retreated to her tent, the remaining Fire Warriors huddled together. They whispered amongst themselves, agreeing that Azula no longer cared for them and that they owed it to Chiyou to attempt a rescue.

The next morning, Azula awoke to an eerily quiet camp. Her heart pounded as she realized the Fire Warriors had abandoned her. Rage consumed her. She stormed through the forest, but found no trace of them. As night fell, a violent storm erupted, forcing her to take shelter. She huddled under a rock ledge, with the storm's intense fury mirroring her own.

Does Azula survive the storm?
