Chapter 3 by NewWriter14752

Who is the star of the show?

Ayumi, who's plan to get her crush to notice her backfires horibly

As Ayumi ascended the stairs leading to the rehearsal room, her heart raced with anticipation. The scent of old paper and dusty instruments lingered in the air, creating a nostalgic atmosphere as she entered the room. Greg stood out among the crowd of auditionees. His red curls were lazily pushed to the side, his pale skin and scrawny build were pretty unique among the other actors. A nervous smile stretched across his lips as he glanced towards Ayumi, causing her cheeks to flush a delicate shade of pink.

Ayumi is a first year literature student. As her name suggests, she is a Japanese-American girl, with short bob-styled black hair, small nose and cute cheeks.

"Hey, Ayumi!" Greg called out, his voice breaking softly like a tender melody.

"What's up?" Ayumi **** a playful grin, trying to cover her mounting nerves. "Just here because I thought you might need some help."

Greg chuckled, his quickly averting her. "Really? You wanna help me with my lines?" Ayumi swallowed the lump forming in her throat and hesitated before nodding eagerly. "Sure, why not?"

As they settled down in the worn-out folding chairs, Greg recited his lines from memory. Ayumi listened intently, her gaze locked onto Greg's pale face.

As he recited his lines, she imagined herself playing his love interest, their hands intertwined, their lips brushing in a passionate kiss. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and she couldn't help but blush at the vivid image.

"You know," Greg murmured, his voice filled with nervousness, "I've always wanted to try acting a lead role. And this is just a college play so it should be a good opportunity. But I'm not sure if I'm good enough."

Ayumi couldn't resist the opportunity to encourage him. "Well, I think you'd be great at it."

Greg has a question
