Can we have the rules first?
Ay ay, Captain! [Rules]
The rules for this game are very similar to classic Liar's Dice.
Each player is given a set of five six-sided dice and a cup. The dice don't have numbers, but have the sides colored:
- orange side, for physical changes
- blue side, for mental changes
- red side, for world perception changes
- purple side, for curses and punishments
- gold side, for boons
- black side, for banes
In addition to the dice and cups, a set of cards for each color is set apart.
Players roll their dice inside the cup and secretly take a look at them, then, starting from the first player going clockwise the betting phase start. Each player can bet how many dice of a color they think are at least in all cups, then the next can call their bluff or up the number. If a player wants to change color they have to pick a card of the previous color and put it in front of them. When a player calls the bluff all dices are revealed and counted. If the better was right the one that called the bluff loses, else the one who bet is the loser.
Changing from a purple color to another color while betting means you have to put both a purple card down and a card of the color you want to change to.
Black and Gold dice cannot be bet on. They are kept near the person that rolled them to be counted as modifiers.
The loser has to pick a card of the color that was on bet and be cursed by it, plus reveal any card they had in front of them as well. If in their cup they had any black or gold dice they also need to draw a respective card for each gold or black die they have. Cards have an associated amount of cursed doubloons to them. When the player draws a card they gain that amount following the rules of the cards.
When a player reaches ten cursed doubloons they are eliminated.
The game ends when all but one player are eliminated.
