Awkward Morning (CW)

Kailyn awoke early the next morning; the college girl's eyes squinted open as the blinding white from the sun fighting through the storm shined over the fresh white blankets of snow and filled the small cabin with light. She blinked a few times, noting just how heavily it continued to snow, and then she heard a small hum. Turning her head, a smile curled on her lips; she was still nestled into Kenny's body, and the teenager was fast asleep under her with his arms wrapped around her stomach. Everything that happened last night was more than unexpected and certainly never planned for, but there wasn't an ounce of regret in her body. Kailyn had known Kenny for years now; he was a good man, respectable, sweet, and apparently, somewhere in her head, she'd always desired some level of affection and attention from him.

I guess I got that and more last night. Kailyn thought to herself while giving the cabin a quick glance around, thankful that Sydney and JJ had yet to come out from their rooms yet. With a soft clearing of her throat and a few gentle strokes on his arm, Kailyn woke Kenny. The teen let out a confused hum as he stirred awake, and his brown eyes slowly cracked open. Kailyn looked up at him with a smile, letting his gaze fixed on hers, "Kai?" Kenny softly asked, and Kailyn felt an unexpected rush of heat between her legs from his voice alone. "We...fell asleep out here?"

"Uh-huh," Kailyn softly nodded back, "It's still early; I don't think Syd or JJ is awake yet." Kailyn adjusted her body, turning and sitting herself up a bit, "I figured you'd prefer waking up before they came out and saw us, hmm?"

"Y-Yeah..." Kenny slowly retracted his hands from Kailyn's body, "So last night...we, um..."

"Yeah, we did." Kailyn felt a little flutter in her stomach, "It was...unexpected."

"Definitely unexpected,"

"But nice?"

"Huh? Oh yeah! Yes, it was amazing," Kenny's assurance was enough to relax the woman at least.

However, a silence lingered between them, a single minute but one that felt like an hour until Kailyn finally stood up. Still bottomless from their fun last night, the ebony girl turned and looked for her pants. "I should get dressed; that will be tough to explain."

"Yeah..." Kenny's voice droned as her beautiful ass swung around to face him. Kailyn bent right over, grabbing her bottoms, and for just a few seconds, Kenny was shown just exactly what he had blindly enjoyed just last night. "Hmm?" Kailyn hummed; looking back, she only found Kenny's cheeks red, eyes diverted, and a noticeable lump in his jeans. "Oh, sorry, I really was only grabbing them. Hang on." In a flash, she put her clothes back on, giving Kenny a reprieve from a more than enticing sight. In turn, the teen got up, and fixed his pants and buckle, before looking at Kailyn with uncertainty, "Don't worry, I'll wash the blanket, and no one will ever know what happened."

"Yeah...that'd be for the best, right?" Kenny rubbed the back of his head and wandered around the side of the couch while Kailyn let out a small, concerned exhale through her nose, wondering just how badly she may have screwed up her close relationship with her brother's best friend. This question didn't linger long as only a moment later, JJ rounded the corner, rubbing his tired eyes, "Hey, JJ." Kailyn nonchalantly waved to her younger brother.

"Hey..." JJ returned while Kenny tucked his hands into his pockets, not able to even look at the teen. Normally this would have been something JJ would have noticed, but Ironically, the teen was doing the very same. He still couldn't get over what he had done with Sydney last night, how close he was to step over that line. It took every ounce of control in his body to reject Sydney's advances last night, and JJ all but hated himself for sticking by that code. He wanted so much more, and that was enough for him to feel ashamed.

Right behind him, holding no shame in her actions, however, was Sydney. The brunette gave the trio a wave and made her way to the kitchen, "So, day two of snowed-in fun, woohoo." She sarcastically cheered, "Whose excited? Any plans?" Sydney looked at the boys, who said nothing, only awkwardly standing on opposite ends of the room. Sydney looked over to Kailyn, who could only shrug, "Ooookay, um, Kai. Please tell me you have an idea?"

"Breakfast?" Kailyn half-heartedly suggested back, "Couldn't we all share a meal?"

"Or are we all feeling too awkward or something?" Sydney tacked on.

The acknowledgment of the elephant in the room immediately scared both the men into fearing what the other would ask, "I'm not being awkward; I'm just tired, Syd!" Kenny all but exclaimed,

"Same," JJ nodded, "Plus...I uh...My game! Yeah, I'm missing my game today, so sorry if I'm in the dumps over it."

"Right, that totally makes sense, and that movie I watched with Kai kept us up late. So breakfast should help. We should have breakfast." Kenny quickly moved to the kitchen,

"Yeah, let me help." JJ followed his friend over while both girls watched the duo with raised brows.

Barely sharing a word while cooking as well as eating meant breakfast was a mostly silent affair all throughout. JJ and Kenny still couldn't look at one another for any time at all, while both girls couldn't get a conversation going for the life of them. At least until Sydney had decided she had enough of the silent game. Glancing over to the frosted glass walls of the hot tub room, she thumbed over to it, "I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been eyeing the hot tub since I got here, and that sounds like an amazing way to kill a few hours."

"Oh yeah, it's so amazing, full jet controls, built-in massage chair on the side where you can just lay in the warm water and relax. You'll love it." Kailyn assured her.

"Perfect," The brunette's brown eyes moved over to JJ, "James, you want to join me?"

"Oh, I'm good, Syd." JJ cleared his throat, "I might just chill out inside at the TV or something."

"Oh, come on, please? At least come in and show me how to work everything. Then you can leave me to nap in that dream machine." Sydney joked back, but her pleading tone was enough to break any man.

JJ let out a small groan, "I...okay, I'll come in for a few to show you how it works." Kenny let out a thankful exhale, happy that JJ will be gone, if even for a few minutes. The guilt was almost too much for him already.

"Ken?" Kailyn's voice quickly took his attention, "I hate to be a burden, but if they're doing that, would you mind helping me clean up?"

"Hmm? Oh sure, yeah! Of course." He quickly nodded, getting up, "Let me get the plates." Kenny offered while grabbing the breakfast plates in a flash.

"Here, let me get the cups," Kailyn followed right behind him.

"I'll...go get in my trunks," JJ shrugged, and Sydney nodded,

As he got up, however, he heard her voice, "I guess I'm already in mine," JJ paused, glancing back, "Well, I wasn't expecting to be in a hot tub, so I'll just have to make do with my bra and underwear. Basically, the same thing, though, right?" She said with a giggle.

"Yeah...right." JJ walked away, taking a visible gulp.
