Audience Participation 2

Hey Readers,

I hope you are enjoying my thread so far. Now that the exposition is out of the way we can get on with the more interesting second act. It is time once again to weigh in on where this story will go.

I am looking for suggestions and opinions on how to go from here. I have a general outline planned but the specifics are alluding me, You can help by answering a few questions:

1. Do our protagonists need secret identities? If so, do you have any suggestions?
2. Will the relationship between Rachel and John be publicly known?
3. Which should happen first, fixing/rebuilding the dimensional slider or finding the killer?

without your input I am afraid that my story may do what countless other on this site have accomplished, remain in limbo. I implore you to comment your opinions, no matter how brief (or long) they might be.
