At the Grammys

Lauren was for the first time going to the Grammys. Her manager had assured her she was going to win for her new album 'Out of Reach'. The video for the title track was also nominated. It featured Lauren strutting and dancing while men stripped for her attention and she brushed them aside, none of them good enough. All of it fed into her 'I'm the best and better than you' image that she'd careful crafted over the years.

Many thought she was the perfect pop star. Not her rivals, the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Billie Eilish. All of them could barely stand her, and had basically said as much in interviews. Which made the possibility of beating all of them all the sweeter.

So her limo pulled up at the red carpet. Fans screamed and cameras flashed as Lauren emerged from the car...
