Assignment: Isaac Wright, Farmer, 50 (Farm Stuff Route)

Katie opened the book and flipped through it and stopped at a photo of a very muscular farmer in his 50s. He had a big, bushy beard and a stern look in his eyes. She kinda blushed, remembering she used to have a thing for farmhands in her earlier 20s.

"Who's this?"

"Oh, Isaac Wright. He's a 50-year-old farmer, and he's looking for an assistant. His wife left him a few months ago, and he has a hard time managing everything on his farm. Very handsome for his age. I can see why you stopped flipping through the book."

Katie's face blushed a bit more, realizing she was caught staring at his photo.
"I think working on a farm sounds nicer than the other options, not because he's handsome."

"Sounds all the same to me!" Jane said.
The woman took the folder from Katie and closed it, stuffing it back into her purse.

"We'll let the office know and have Isaac get your lodgings ready. In the mean time, we have to take you back to jail to wait, and also prescribe you a micro-chip."

"A micro-chip? Why do I need that?"

"So, you can't escape. Isaac owns a lot of farmland and his last helper ran away, we can't let it happen again. It's bad for the brand. All recipients get one for rural clients. If you try to escape, the chip will administer a mild shock to your system and alert the authorities."

"That doesn't sound pleasant."

"Oh, it's not. I assure you. So, I'd strongly suggest against it."

"I suppose it is what it is."

"Don't worry. Everything will be okay. Just sign here to confirm your decision."

"Okay, okay, hold on a second."

Katie signs the paper.

"Like I said, we're going to take you back to jail temporarily to get chipped, and you'll be staying a couple days, then we'll drop you off at Isaac's farm."

Katie was now to begin her sentence.
