Change up anything else?
Assign everyone a job that doesn't have one
Considering how hard some people are working, you decide now is a good time to make sure that everyone is pulling their weight. Some of the ways you can put people to work are easy, such as Aanya. She was so close to being a doctor when the world ended, that you have been meaning to have her assist and learn from Zhang for a while, but you just keep forgetting to do it. Her mom, Pavarti, is an easy one, too. She knows how to sew, making her ideal to repair clothes, bedsheets, and other fabric stuff since you don't think there are many favorites left to buy new clothes from.
The rest are not so easy. None of them have any particular skills that would be incredibly useful in today's world. Emily Karlsson, the Swedish tennis player, is very fit but there isn't a good spot for her on any of your teams. Divya's dreams of becoming an actress are unlikely to come true, and her younger sister, Anjali isn't even in college yet. Jade is a good cook, but not nearly as good as Melissa. And finally, Nicholas. His complete lack of any skills makes him an even worse person to place.
You decide to assign the girls as apprentices, where they can learn from and help someone more experienced and gain those skills to pass down themselves one day. Emily you put with Alyssa, that way they can each take days off, and you can use her athleticism as a runner to get messages to places that don't have phones. Jade goes with Melissa as a cook. Divya goes to help her mom and learn how to sew. Anjali is assigned to Walter and Natasha as a farmer.
That only leaves Nicholas. He lacks any sort of useful skills or traits that would give you any idea on where he would be of the most benefit. After some thinking on the matter, you finally decide to just make him the building's janitor. You return to your office and beging writing all the changes down, and draft notes detailing the new jobs that they will be doing. You call in Alyssa once you're finished and have her deliver them.
