Assign Role: Property

Ash didn't immediately notice that anything had happened upon pressing the button. However, when he did finally look back up from the remote, he saw that May was no longer a few meters ahead of him and admiring the landscape, but instead standing at attention right in front of him. Instead of her usual demeanor, or even being slightly mad at Ash for trailing behind, she stood there very calmly, as if she was waiting for him to say something. Confused by this sudden shift in her demeanor, Ash decided to speak up.

"Uh, May, is everything alright?" he asked, a little unsure about how she was acting.

The answer, which eventually escaped her lips, was something completely unexpected. "Of course, Master," she said, not shifting her pose in any way and remaining at attention. "Is something the matter?"

"Wait, Master?" Ash exclaimed, taken aback by this. "What do you mean? Why are you calling me that?"

A slight hint of confusion became visible on May's otherwise calm face, but she replied regardless. "Because I am your property, Master. Every part of me is owned by you and free to use as you please," she stated matter-of-factly.

Ash had no idea on how to react to this. His friend was suddenly acting extremely strangely, even claiming to be his property. He thought that she might have been joking, but not only did she never make any jokes like this, but everything about her behavior seemed genuine and serious. Looking for some kind of explanation, his gaze fell down to the strange remote he was still holding in his hand. Lifting his thumb that still rested on the button he had pressed, he saw that it was labeled with the symbol of a padlock and part of the so-called "Assign-Role-Category". Was it possible that this was what had caused this?

While Ash pondered the sitiuation, May remained standing and continued to patiently wait for orders from her new master. After a few moments, he had finally come to terms with the fact that the remote had apparently done something to make May believe that she was, in fact, his property. This in mind, Ash went to ask her one more question before deciding on how to proceed.

"So, I can do anything I want with you, correct?" he asked, tensely awaiting May's response.

"Yes, Master. Every aspect of me is yours, after all," she finally answered.
