"Over half a billion," Cin corrects you. "Though your great-uncle was crazy and a pervert, he was also a skilled businessman, a brilliant investor, and had an unnatural otherworldly luck."

"And I’m supposed to inherit all of it?" you ask, more baffled than greedy. "I can’t even wrap my head around that kind of money."

Cin shakes her head, her expression composed. "You might inherit it all, some of it, or nothing at all—aside from the twenty thousand I’ve already handed you. Remember, there are conditions that need to be met. First and foremost, you must secure an invitation to the reading of the will, which hinges on certain requirements being fulfilled tonight. As for what’s actually in the will, I have no idea—you’ll have to be there to find out."

She pauses, sensing your next question. "If you’re ready to discuss those conditions now, be aware that it’s serious business. So, if there are any other questions on your mind, now’s the time to ask."
