Ask Where She Wants To Go

“So what do you want to do before Dinner? We have to be in the hall in about 2 hours so we have a little bit of time.” You ask Emily as you finish wrapping up your time sitting together at the table wanting to get up and do one more thing before dinner.

“You want to go somewhere else and keep exploring? Alright. How about we check out the basketball facilities? We’re both on the basketball teams right? Should be a good middle ground I think.” Emily suggests, as you obviously agree letting her lead the way.

The two of you have a short discussion about basketball skills and strategies and things before you arrive at the basketball gymnasium. It’s really well done, very high level and it’s very apparent and clear that a lot of effort went in to making sure that everything was done to the highest level it could be on the exterior. You open the door for her to let her in first, and find the inside is no different. The seating is incredibly comfort oriented rather than bleachers to try and cram people in and make as much space as possible, and there are locker rooms for both genders for all 4 Civilizations, meaning 8 total locker rooms in the facility, which is not at all what you were expecting but still something you think is very cool to see planned out that way.

The two of you enter the Cardinals locker rooms obviously with you entering the guys room and Emily the girls, and find it painted in your team colors, with a sky roof above you just like the one in the Capital room to allow natural light to come in during the day or moon and starlight visibility during nighttime. The lockers were very spacious and you really like the jersey design that they have prepared in the lockers as well. Most locker rooms you were in during middle and high school were incredibly crammed, hot and some got pretty dirty, but they clearly kept this one in prime condition, which is to be expected with it having never been used before, but still notable. There was also a massive white board for drawing up plays or taking notes and things like that as well which really stood out to you as some places you went to when you played in high school still had chalk boards.

You walk out and find Emily waiting for you having clearly finished her examination of the room much faster than you.

“Dang how nice is the guys room?! You were in there for 5 minutes!” Emily asks clearly wondering what you were looking at that took so long.

“It was pretty nice, not gonna lie. We have a sky roof, a nice white board, some pretty spacious lockers, heat and air conditioning, and I checked out the jerseys.” You tell her as she looks at you confused.

“They have your jerseys in already? I didn’t see any in our room yet. How are they?” She asks curious.

“I mean, I like them to be honest. They’re kinda what you’d expect. Homes are yellow with the Cardinal on the front and numbers on the back with some black accents and Aways are black with the numbers on the front and just really professional looking.” You explain. “I’d think your might be a bit more feminine if I had to guess but they could be the same as ours and they just haven’t gotten your room ready or you walked right past it or something.” Emily gives a small shrug as she heads back towards the court area.

“Do you think I could beat you one on one?” Emily asks you out of nowhere. You’re a little bit shocked by the question and you didn’t expect it. You’re not exactly sure how to answer the question right away, but eventually you make a decision.

Choices: A- Probably not, I think I would win. B- Yeah, I’d probably just let you win to be honest. C- No way, I’d crush you. D- No idea, we should do that sometime this year. E- I’d never play a girl one on one, what a weird question.
