Ask To Prove You Don’t Struggle With It

“How can I prove to you that I don’t struggle with it? Seriously.” You ask Emily who is pretty surprised by your insistence on the topic.

“Well, you could start by asking me for my mobile contact.” She starts, as you laugh not realizing that was a big deal.

“Seriously? I mean okay, do you want to exchange contacts?” You ask her, as she’s still a bit surprised by your quick response. She gives you her mobile device and you hers, as you both exchange contact info.

“So what sport do you play? Did you ever tell me anything about that?” She asks continuing to try and see how well you do holding a convo with her. You smile though, as sports is your comfort zone and passion. You could talk to literally anyone about the sports you play.

“Football and Basketball mostly, but I’m considering trying Baseball while I’m here. I’m definitely down to talk sports always, with anyone.” You add, as she nods giving you a little bit of credit for finally talking a little bit about your own self.

“Okay, fair enough. You just confuse me a little bit I guess. Maybe you just need to get out of your shell more and explore around. You want to stop at the dining hall and pick up something to eat?” She asks you.
