Arthur is losing his shit.

“What the absolute fuck?” Hey now, no need for that kind of language, unless there’s actual fucking involved. Then go ham. And what did I tell you about talking out loud? People are going to think you’re crazy. Arthur had to calm down. He looked down at the ring, and tried to pull it off. It wouldn’t budge. He grit his teeth and tried again. He felt like his finger was going to rip off. Arthur stopped, and took a deep breath.

Oh yeah, you can’t take me off champ. You’re stuck with me. Hey, you’ve been gone for a while now. Did you ever get that chair for Kira or are you just leaving her standing in your office? Kira. Oh crap, how long have I been gone for? Arthur wondered. He straightened himself up in the mirror, he still looked like himself, but better. His jawline was more square. He felt taller. He probably still wasn’t as tall as the green beauty that he left in his office, but he was at least as muscular as she was, if not more so.

He sighed. He had been gone long enough already and he still hadn’t found a replacement chair. To the elevator then. He unlocked the bathroom door and walked out into the hallway. The hallway was empty. For the most part he was glad that he worked in the basement, he definitely didn’t want anyone else to see him today. He was going to have to go upstairs to grab a new chair.

He was going to need to be quick. In and out, don’t let anyone else see you. Don’t let anybody ask any IT questions. The elevator doors opened. He hunched, trying to make himself seem smaller, which was nearly impossible with his shiny new body. He walked over to an empty office. Now normally office furniture was the first to get scavenged whenever someone left, but this office had been locked up tight, and luckily, he had a key. He grabbed the oversized rolling chair and wheeled it back to the elevator, locking the office behind him.
